My sister and i went for a short break to florence in September 2007. The Hotel jane was a lovely small friendly hotel and excellent value. The only problem we had were the directions to hotel from station. We were told to get the 14 bus for two stops. It is a lot more than two stops as the 14 bus is a circular service so check with the driver. it was pouring with rain when we arrived and as we had got off the bus after two stops and then had to wait for another bus we were soaked and not very happy as hotel had emailed us directions. apart from that hic-cup i would reccomend the hotel as an excellent budget hotel
We did like Hotel Jane. We spent 3 nights in Florence and found Hotel Jane to be a really good place to stay. Hotel is actually a little bit far from the city center, I would say, about 20 minutes walking. But it is clean, breakfast is good (based on the Italian standards), and staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend Hotel Jane to anyone who needs to stay in Florence in a quiet neighborhood and not to spend an enormous amount of money for the hotel.
the room we had was on the GF & the door was behind the reception desk so the room was quite noisy at times. Our room had a private bathroom, very spacious and clean with a big shower, but the toilet made noises when people upstairs flushed theirs! The building was quite old and they advertised a games room which isn't there, all they have is just a couple of board games in the bar area. Also their car park was full so we had to walk round trying to find a place to park our car, so quite annoying. There are some nice shops near by and a few good restaurants.
Great service! Very helpful with directions! Get advice on where to eat, they give some great suggestions! Free Parking (which I found amazing, just ask where to park because they block off the spaces for their guests which are just 2 steps from the front door!) Clean, Clean, Clean! Great breakfast with server! It's a 20 minute walk to the Duomo which was quite nice because of the local shops that keeps you entertained on the walk to the center. Park your car and walk... :)
Very lovely hotel with nice decor. Receptionists staff were very friendly. Located just beside the river.
We stayed there for 2 nights. What's great is that internet is free of charge.
Just a short bus ride (The 'A' envirobus) from the Duomo, the Jane is a comfortable place to stay. You can walk to the Uffizi in 10 minutes and there are buses all over Florence within easy reach. The price is very good considering it's pretty close to most attractions. Right on the doorstep of the Duomo is going to cost you a fortune but hey, isn't that the way everywhere? I'd definitely recommend the Jane Hotel.
Excellent location for quiet stay - plenty of local amenities and easy access to centre via the buses. Get a bus route map from tourist information - go anywhere - even right around the city.
A nice hotel in a quite area with easy access to the centre of the city. Reasonably priced.
Nice hotel, quite small rooms, and only a walk away from everything.
IT IS A NICE QUIET HOTEL ON A CONVENIENT BUS ROUTE TO THE CENTRE. THERE IS ALSO A SELF SERVICE LAUNDRY NEAR BY. I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN.
Superb hotel! Recommend!
Excellent hotel. A bit of a walk, though. If you are driving, Hotel Jane is difficult to find – contact the hotel for directions! Rooms are beautiful (AC, ceiling fan, frig, carpet). Delicious breakfast. I would definitely return!
