Jasper Hotel Melbourne

Very nice hotel and very nicely situated...a couple blocks from Victoria Marketplace and a couple blocks from the free CityRail tram. You could also walk to China town...Melbourne is a very walkable city. Our hotel room was opposite from the street side and was very quiet. I would definitely stay there again.

booked an exec double suite which was an average looking room but considering we had arrived later in the evening and it being around the town area,the bed was very comfortable, minimal traffic noise,defffinatley had a good sleep.The bonus is Mcdonalds is right next to the hotel and Victoria Market is right behind the hotel, which we could see from our hotel room.They also have some real good asian resturants which is about a couple of blocks down from the hotel.Friendly recetion staff and daily housekeeping. Enyoyed our stay and would deffinately stay here again.

We had three rooms ... The staff were wonderful, friendly, helpful everything you could ask for ... this is our second visit and we will definitely going again

A great hotel, located in the center of Melbourne.

The location is great with the tram station right there. The Melbourne market is right next door and if you wanted to you could walk to the centre of Melbourne within 15 minutes. The room was clean and comfortable although you could here the trams passing right below. For a cheep stay in a great location, I can't think of a better place to stay and I will stay there again when next in Melbourne.

A lovely modern hotel. Unfortunately the noise from outside was too much to consider staying here again.

The Jasper has exceptional people working for it. They where both curtious and helpful at all times. The location is great if you are interested in the Market and the tram stop right out front gets you anywhere you want to go in a short time. Walking wise it is all up hill from the main areas but needless to say down hill when going out in the morning. The rooms are large and quiet even those close to the elevators. A definate to try.

Comfortable room and bathroom, Ideal position, within walking distance to the city centre, shops, restuarants, etc. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

hotel was clean and in a good location. The bed was as hard as sleeping on the floor, the pillow was no better. would not stay again

A great find - location & stay. Excellent room, quiet with great views over Vic Markets(suggest r the better rooms). Spent 2 nites & will definitely be back. Peter, Gold Coast.

The room suffered from trafic noise even on the 6th floor. The breakfast was reasonable in price and generous in servings but I was unable to finish both the muesli and the scrambled eggs because of the quality (they both looked similar).

The hotel was wonderfully centrally located and immacuately presented. The service at reception was good but possibly due to the person on duty having English as their second language we did have some difficulty communicating. Overall a very enoyable stay.

Nice spot, close to everything. Incredibly average hotel. Boutique? Not sure what definition is being used.

We had a wheelchair accessible room which was not very accessible, particularly in the bathroom where there were very few handholds. There was next to no lighting in the room so it was very dark. Staff were confused as to whether we were staying 1 night or 2 and they had to reprogram our access cards each day. The location was convenient with good access to trams.

We have stayed at the Jasper Hotel previously and wanted to stay again. The location is perfect for us as it is close to the market and a lovely walk to Bourke Street. We find the hotel and staff excellent.

Very conveniently situated for access to the city, the Victoria market and literally hundreds of places to eat and drink within easy walking distance of the hotel. Our one and only criticism was that there were no easy or arm chairs or a small settee in the room, though Staff advised that this is already being looked into. An excellent breakfast is available in the restaurant. We enjoyed our short stay very much.

I feel the room was quite over priced for the style of hotel. It seemed this may have been an ex-backpacker Hostel that had been renovated. Building is not sound proof so quite a lot of noise in the late night/early morning. Location was great - right next to the Queen Market and tram lines.
