Above the Underworld, this historic village has a special atmosphere. European in appearance with a backdrop of Australian Bush. Jenolan is an ideal place to experience the sights and sounds of nature up close and personal.

Caves House is one of the few surviving guest houses so popular in the Victorian Era, a favourite retreat to generations of Australians. This rambling, Tudor Style guest house, circa 1896, features open fires and 19th century grandeur. Relax and unwind in the elegant lounge, the Explorers Bar or Library.

Chisolm’s Grand Dining Room features lofty ceilings, a grand piano and an open fire. It provides a unique dining experience with superb country cuisine served each night.

Getting there: Located Just 72Km past Katoomba, Blue Mountains.

By Car:
Turn left off the Great Western Highway 10Km past Mt Victoria onto Jenolan Caves Rd (Sign Posted). Stay on Jenolan Caves Rd and it will lead you right to the door step of Caves House*. 33º 49’14.05”S 150 º 01’17.09”E

* If you are staying in our Jenolan Caves Cottages they are located on the right hand side of Jenolan Caves Rd 8km before the main caves precinct (38km from the Great Western Highway). Please check in at the Cottage Reception not at Caves House

Public Transport:
Several Coach companies depart from Sydney and Katoomba daily. Train can also be caught from Sydney to Katoomba and then bus transfer.

Jenolan Caves Rd is closed to outward bound (Sydney) traffic between 11.45am and 1.15pm daily.
Check-in Procedure: Check-in is any time after 2pm and check-out by 10am

Reception is open from 7.00am to 11.30pm every night. After hours check-in available with prior notice.
