Jetwing Sea Hotel Negombo

Quiet and charming hotel directly on the sand with no noisy AC, TV or bar bands to disturb the sounds of wind and wave. Food is very good and varied. The only annoyance is the relentless vendors prowling the beach.

I would like to go to this hotel again. Nice rooms opening on to the best part of Negombo beach with a breakwater to allow swimming in the sea; the pool is also good. Food good with waiter service although they were rather slow on one occasion as the menu seemed too ambitious for the kitchen staff on the Sunday. Excellent value.

A perfect position by the sea. The dining is excellent and food fantatsic. the only downside is the location which is a long way from Negombo but the indian shop opposite will change money at better rates than hotel and sells the basics, Use him - he knowws Brum well - and there is a good local taxi man called Vincent - he was excellent vlaue for money - half the price of hotel arranged trips.

This was a gem of a hotel, set right on a glorious beach. The airport is only about 20 minutes away by taxi. The staff couldn't do enough to please and the food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious. I would strongly recommend this little hotel, which is not luxurious but clean and pleasant.

This hotel was lovely. We booked it expecting it to be a bit ropey, but were very surprised on arrival. It is basic, but small things, like flowers on our bed everyday made it seem luxurious. The pool was quite large and clean and a lot more inviting than the beach, which had lots of touts. Breakfast was outside on a balcony with sea views. Negombo is a quiet town, but if you're looking for somewhere to go, that's close to the airport (20 mins), with very cheap shopping and decent food, you won't be disappointed.

We were greeted at the Seashells with cold flannels and a drink which were very welcome after a long, hot flight. The setting of the hotel, directly on the beach, was wonderful, as was the view from the balcony of our room. The hotel is small enough to be friendly without becoming intrusive. We could not fault the food or the service. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt that the Seashells greatly surpassed the hotel we stayed at the second week of our holiday (which was rated more highly).
