We were amazed at the number of restaurants within the Jin Jiang Hotel. The hotel is actually a complex and consists of about 4 different buildings. Within the complex there are over 10 restaurants to choose from. We had a lovely Shanghainese dinner at Yin. Close to a subway station. Probably not as convenient to Nanjing Road if that´s your thing but there is a better shopping street located nearby.
This hotel located the best part of Shanghai city. Close to everywhere. Didn’t have much time to explore the inside of the hotel. The building itself was old but very tasteful style. Room was big, especially bathroom. I absolutely enjoyed the stay. I definitely recommend this Hotel to my friends and also if I have a chance to visit Shanghai would like stay there again.
The Cathay Garden part of the complex is very well run with the top fourth and fifth floors smoke-free. The breakfast buffets are outstanding. The rooms and their bathrooms are generous in size , including a proper desk arrangement with internet access. The down-pillows and beds are near perfect as a sleep away from home. Also, the Indian restaurant in the Cathay Garden is first rate, with very attentive and friendly service staff

Great location, first time we stayed in the newer hotel- there are 3 in the complex- excellent- we did book the delux and it was fine. Second time we stayed in the older hotel- excellent room but bathoom a bit tired! Brilliant pillows though. Would recommend.

Lovely hotel bordering the French Concession. Great restaurant just down the road with good prices. A few doors away by contrast is what would be the most expensive restaurant in China. Can walk to railway station, supermarket, shops. The room was good but with no view whatever which didn't bother us. Only fault is the air conditioning temperature was not adjustable in the room and we found it a little too warm.
Very nice hotel. Big rooms. great shower and the location was within easy reach of a tube.
This Hotel is located down town Shanghai approximately 1hour by taxi from Pudong Airport. The super train takes you 8 minutes Airport to Town. Within easy walking distance to the Shopping Centre and a few minutes to the underground train station. Has a couple of very nice restaurants serving Chinese food but some Western food is available. But there are many places outside to eat and quite inexpensive and excellent food if your into Chinese food. The Staff are extremely helpfull and co-operative, they really do go out of the way to assist you, there are some staff members who do not speak English though, bear that in mind. I stayed at this Hotel from 20th/23rd August ( 3 nights) in a NON SMOKING ROOM, but I did find that although it was a NON SMOKING FLOOR the place still smelled quite strongly of STALE tobacco, apart from that I was very satisfied and WILL stay there again.
The Jing Jiang Hotel is a high quality hotel located in the French Concession, which is good if you are a tourist. I would stay there again were I to return to Shanghai.
Very enjoyable stay, helpful staff who were always keen to find an English speaker if they could not assit themselves. Good food and excellent swimming pool, saunas, hot tubs & relax area. Very comfortable rooms with everything you need. I will certainly book again on my next visit. Hotel is 15 mins by taxi to main shopping areas but plenty to see around the Hotel. It was nice to be a taxi ride away from the really busy tourist parts of the city centre.
Great location and definately 5 star! Staff are very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is excellent. Room is very spacious and very nice. Definately will stay there again.
Excellent hotel - great location and service. Every time we visit Shanghai we stay here. You are right in the heart of the French concession surrounded by fabulous shops and restuarants.
An excellent 5 star hotel with beautifully decorated rooms & dining areas. If the price stayed the same, I would look no further in Shanghai.
Excellent hotel. The room was vast (albeit rather musty-smelling) with a lovely bathroom. Service is also very good; the staff are not always fluent in English but are unfailingly helpful. Location is great, in the French Concession with good shopping in the boutiques along Chengle Rd and bars and restaurants in Maoming Rd.
Great. Loved it. The location and the facilities were first class and the staff did their best for us even though there were some obvious language differences. Would recommend it to everyone. It's not on the Bund, rather in the French Concession part of Shanghai but that's a whole worthwhile experience in itself.
