"We were amazed at the number of restaurants within the Jin Jiang Hotel. The hotel is actually a complex and consists of about 4 different buildings. Within the complex there are over 10 restaurants to choose from. We had a lovely Shanghainese dinner at Yin. Close to a subway station. Probably not as convenient to Nanjing Road if that´s your thing but there is a better shopping street located nearby." - Anonymous

"The Cathay Garden part of the complex is very well run with the top fourth and fifth floors smoke-free. The breakfast buffets are outstanding. The rooms and their bathrooms are generous in size , including a proper desk arrangement with internet access. The down-pillows and beds are near perfect as a sleep away from home. Hotel description:    The Jin Jiang Hotel is an historic hotel which has served more than 400 heads of state and government leaders over the past 70 years. It is conveniently located close to Huaihai Road, the "Champs-Elysées" of Shanghai. The hotel enjoys excellent access to the downtown area and major transport links. The hotel is only ten minutes away from Xin Tian Di, the city's most vibrant fashion and entertainment hotspot.
Grosvenor House has 31 Chinese and Western suites of various types, all of which feature a kitchen, open-air balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows in each suite, allowing a panoramic view of the garden. The hotel also offers a special private housekeeping service to the guests of Grosvenor House.
In addition to the hotel buildings, the complex also contains one of the most historic meeting spaces in China, namely the Jin Jiang Grand Hall. The original Grand Hall was the place where the historic Sino-America joint communiqué was signed by Chairman Mao and U.S. President Nixon. After its renovation in 1998, the Grand Hall took on an even more dignified look.
