Julian Hotel Prague Guest Reviews

4.4 out of 5

We stayed at this hotel in May 2008 for 3 nights. The hotel was well maintained and clean with one of the best buffet breakfasts we had on our whole trip in Europe. It was simply delicious in every way and included in the price. We bought a 48hr tram travel pass from reception and the stop was just around the corner to travel to most places. Would like to stay in the old town next time but I think you pay more to stay right in the centre.

Good location for trams and for walking to all major tourist attractions. Rooms are good size with good ensuite facilities and tea/coffee maker in room. Breakfast was reasonable. If travelling from airport, the 119 bus and 20 tram link is excellent. Only difficult part is finding tram stop on way into Prague at bus terminus. It was not by 119 terminus but a walk off about 300 yards through main terminal. I would use the julian again.

A clean and well appointed hotel just outside the main tourist areas of Praque. However all locations are within walking distance.

I stayed four nights in the hotel and I was very satisfied with it. Its location is perfect for those who prefer to stay a bit away from the noise and crowd of Old Town, but it is still close enough to get there easily, even on foot. The breakfast was excellent and I think if you couldn't find anything that fits to your taste - well, the problem is with you. I left the hotel on Saturday early morning, and for some reasons I couldn't find everything prepared for breakfast just after 7 am. But this was a minor problem. The parking possibility offered by the hotel is a small open-air lot just behind the hotel building (10 EUR/night). It meant the peace of mind during my stay. The free WiFi internet connection sometimes worked, sometimes not in my room, and eventually I gave up using it. IN SUMMARY: Hotel Julian is a clean, friendly hotel with a very good location and services, and I would recommend it to anyone who prefers a good small hotel to larger and fancier ones.

We thought everything about the hotel was outstanding. We booked the hotel's taxi service to pick us up at the airport and for our departure. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful with all queries, even to the point of lending us a guidebook for the duration of our stay as my wife left ours on the plane. The buffet breakfast was adequate with eggs, bacon, tomato, colds meats, pastries, yoghurts and cereals. The breakfast staff were very friendly too. The hotel is situated on the castle side of the river and it's a beautiful 15 minute walk along the riverfront and through a park to the Charles Bridge, although there is a tram stop nearby. We couldnt fault anything about the hotel. There is a small restaurant bar downstairs which is handy and the Library off reception serves complimentary coffee, juice and pastries. We would definitely stay here again. Bevan Shearer, Australia

Very impressed. Spacious room with air conditioning, spacious bathroom with bath, excellent buffet breakfasts in pleasant room with good supervision, very helpful staff generally. Location was in easy reach of the city centre (walking distance via interesting walk across the river, or easy tram access).

The accommodation was good, and the staff at the hotel were very helpful. They were very keen to help when we wanted to book a trip and the hotel car to the airport was very good value for money. The hotel is about 15 mins walk from Charles Bridge (although the hotel says it is about 10 mintues), but the placement is good.

Very lovely small hotel in quiet street and same time enough close to city center. We liked very much sunny-side up eggs during breakfest inspite of that we had to wait for it every morning!

clean hotel with friendly pleasant staff. breakfast is good standard. bar and gym sllightly naff, but at least available. locker rooms and late check out is good idea. hotel arranged airport transfers so made travel very easy. situated 5 minutes from little town near the funicular tram. 15 minutes walk to old town or over bridge to new town (never bothered with trams). the odd restuarant and bars within 5-10 minutues walk. Generally very good, suit mainly couples after a quite retreat etc...

Enjoyed our stay at the Julian Hotel in Prague. The staff were very friendly, helpful and we couldn''t have had better service from any of them. The breakfast was excellent, good choice and again great service from the staff. Our room and en-suite bathroom was spotless, very spacious and had lots of storage space, also had our own safe (at no extra charge). Would definitely stay in the Julian Hotel again and would highly recommend it.

Our group of consisting of 4 couples stayed at Hotel Julian for 3 days in early December We used the hotel's chauffeur service to collect us from the airport and take us back at the end of our stay the hotel is in a quiet area away from the crowds but, within easy walking distance of all the major attractions in addition there is a tram stop just around the block with several trams that run into the centre of town and beyond, tickets for the trams can be purchase at the hotel reception. The room was large, simply furnished, and comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is very extensive, with several kinds of cold meat and cheese, scrambled eggs and bacon, fruit and fruit juice and the Czech pastries were good and plentiful. The lounge and bar areas are more like a country house than a hotel. Staff on reception was exceptionally helpful with directions! If you are looking for a reasonably priced, well-located hotel in Prague, the Julian is an excellent choice.

I stayed with my fiancee at Hotel Julian for 4 nights in July after reading online reviews and we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and in Prague. As an English tourist I would recommend to anyone, the reception staff spoke English and were very helpful when asked, Sky Sports tv and english newspapers in reception (The Independent) made an English tourist feel instantly welcome. Really enjoyed the breakfast service, the rooms were clean and well provisioned, we were well catered for, without reservation. It was a warm 35 degrees average temperature during our stay, and although the room itself (307) wasnt air conditioned, we hardly noticed, this also goes for noise levels, our room was very quiet even with the window left open on its hinge for the whole stay, and I slept well in its quiet location and found it to be within good walking distance of the town. Two very satisfied customers! Would definitely return. BRAVO Thank you Hotel Julian.

We were very pleased with this hotel. Although it is not in the centre of Prague, all the main tourist attractions are easily accessed by tram and it is more pleasant to escape the crowds and stay in a quieter part of town. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and the buffet breakfast was great - set you up nicely for a day's sightseeing. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

My husband and I spent three days at Julian Hotel and were extremely pleased. The rooms were nice, the attention fantastic. The hotel is situated close enough to the historical center that one can either walk or take the tram. Breakfast buffet is included and has a variety of cold meats, cheeses, bread types, juices, fruit salad, egg.... I wouldn't hesitate to go back to this hotel.
