Our terrace is the most beautiful part of our hotel: a great oceanview deck with spectacular views over the rocky point and the bay below. Getting there:By car from Palermo: Take the motorway A 20 direction Messina and exit Cefalù Ovest. From Messina: first get the motorway A 20 to Palermo. As the motorway is not finished completely you need to exit at the last possible exit on the road SS 113 to Cefalù. You will find Hotel Kalura located on the right side before you enter the town of Cefalù.

Child Policy:Children are welcome. A 200 qm large garden with olive trees is reserved for our small, but important, guests. Swings and slides invite kids to play games, rock and romp at their hearts' content, no more room for boredome! We also have a children´s pool beside of the big one. Up to 3 years free if sharing parents' room.
The Kalura is located right on the seafront, with pathways down the cliffs to coves and little beaches. Most rooms have balconies. There are a number of levels in the hotel and one can relax overlooking the sea for breakfast or in the restaurant or in the many seats and loungers. The pool is quite shallow at one end, which is great for kids or amateurs. There were also tennis and basketball facilities when I was there, though nobody was playing. As I had a car, the fact that it was about 2 km from Cefalu did not bother me. Cefalu itself is a very safe, charming and authentic combination of old and modern town.
Evidently this hotel is in the process of being refurbished and will, when completely done, be a very elegant hotel indeed in the most splendid location. Of course, the renovation work might also be the reason for the extremely competitive price we were offered, even if we hardly noticed the works. The rooms are very generous and well appointed, and also the breakfast is of good quality. The small drawback is the position near a railway line but with closed windows there is no problem. The walk to town is about twenty minutes and is a worthwhile walk in its own right. I am sure the Hotel can be a base for a longer term holiday.
