Kantary Bay Hotel Phuket

We stayed here as our son was getting married just over the hill in the Cape Panwa Resort hotel, which is a sister hotel of the Kantary Bay. The Kantary Bay was about half the price of the Cape Panwa which we also stayed in for 2 nights. We felt that the Kantary Bay was actually nicer and a lot less walking to our room. Staff were extremely helpful & friendly and made us most welcome. There is a shuttle bus (open truck) that commutes every 20 minutes or so between both hotels and all the services of the Cape Panwa hotel are available to guests of Kantary Bay, including the private beach. The beach at Kantary Bay is picturesque but not really a swimming beach - but what the heck, it's only 3-4 minutes in the shuttle bus to the beautiful sandy private beach. The beach at Kantary Bay has great night markets too and a good choice of restaurants.

We stayed here for 4 nights in all, which were interspersed by 2 nights at the sister hotel Cape Panwa Resort Hotel. We stayed there 2 nights as our son was getting married there. However, Kantary Bay Hotel is about half the price of the Cape Panwa and guests staying at Kantary bay can use all the facitilities of Cape Panwa - and there's a shuttle bus regularly operating between the two. The private beach with lounges, towels, etc, is fantasatic. So for us, we reckon that Kantary Bay Hotel is a better deal. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend it. You need to know, however, that Panwa Cape is a good half hour taxi ride from Phuket town or Patong Beach. So If you want to doi a lot of shopping thgis might not be ther place to stay. If you want relaxation - stay here.
