You really do get it all at Karaka Tree - a Qualmark 4 star motel superbly presented and offering fantastic value for money, excellent customer service and spacious, comfortable rooms.
We are directly across the road from Lake Taupo with FREE car parking & we are the ONLY motel in Taupo with geothermal hot mineral water hot pools in EVERY room.
We have 9 spacious Spa Studios, 3 Twin Studios, which are both located upstairs, 11 One Bedroom Spa Suites and 1 Two Bedroom Spa Suite with disability access, which are located on the ground floor. One Bedroom Spa Suites offer a separate bedroom and lounge area, as well as a private courtyard area with your fabulous geothermal hot mineral water hot pool. Spa Studios have a separate room with a geothermal hot mineral hot pool inside. All rooms have an en-suite with a vanity & walk-in shower cubicle.
Rooms are serviced daily and have kitchenettes, microwaves, tea/coffee, hairdryers, iron/ironing boards, Sky TV & clock radios. Wireless Broadband internet access is available.
Cooked, continental or light breakfasts are delivered daily in-room on request.
We have restaurants within easy walking distance and we are just a short drive into Taupo city centre with its unique shopping, restaurants and clubs. All rooms are non smoking.

Karaka Tree Motel is in a very easy to find location, we are on State Highway 1, (left hand side) 2 doors south of the State Highway 5 (Napier turnoff). |

Check-in is usually any time after 1.30pm. Credit card details are required at time of check in. Please let us know your estimated time of arrival.
The Reception desk closes at 10pm. |

Our relaxed feel is perfect for families. Children aged under 12 are free when using existing bedding, or $20 extra when a roll-away bed is required. All extra charges to be paid directly to the motel. Extra guests agreed by the motel are an extra $20 each per night. There is a $20 charge for a roll-away bed. Cots & highchairs are FREE and available on request.
Sorry, we do not disability access facilities in our Spa Studios or One Bedroom Spa Suites.
