Karon Living Room Hotel Phuket

Very nice and friendly staff! If I come back to Phuket I will definitely come back here.

This place was quite cheap, clean, and relaxing. The people here were all quite friendly. My only complaint was that it was about a 5 minute walk to the beach along what seemed like a fairly dangerous road with no side walk. The rooms were very big and had decent views on both sides. The air con was pretty loud which could be a problem for a lot of people. I would personally stay here again.

Pretty expensive for a ten minute walk to the beach. There are other Karon/Kata beach places that are just as nice and offer a much shorter walk to the sand. There is also no view and a cramped downstairs lobby. The service is pretty nice and the rooms are good, but rooms with two beds are scarce and the cots are awful. For the price you should easily find another spot in a much better location.

The Hotel only opened in 2006 and so it still has the new feeling about it. I was very happy with the cleanliness and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and served upto 1100am, which I found useful since I tend to eat later in the morning. Free Internet, good shower with plenty of warm water and comfortable bed. The only negative I found was that the air conditioner in my room was noisy even when turned to low, so I could not sleep. In the end I asked for a fan and left off the air conditioning which worked but I doubt you could do that in the summer. However I would go back to that hotel again.

The location is OK, one can walk 5 min to the beach and the city. Restaraunts everywhere. The room windows were facing the street, so the bar cross the street played loud Thai music till 4 am. It was really bad... and the a/c was cool enough but made a noise unbeatable... otherwise - for 39USD a night it was really OK. PS. The breakfast is not even worth of mentioning - only toast, jam and coffee. But I do not eat in morning anyway, so...
