Kdm Hotel Taipei

I liked this hotel. The rooms were reasonably sized with a modern look. The location was just off the main drag, so the area was quiet. One of the (3 different) airport bus lines has a stop just across the street. If you are flying-in be sure you get the right bus line! It is a very short walk to the metro and regular bus stops, and only about 3-city blocks to the main train/bus station in town. There is a hotel/public restaurant downstairs as well as a number of interesting smaller ones in the side-streets behind the hotel. Great base of operations for Taipei.

Great bang for your buck. Low price, great service, clean hotel, comfortable beds, good free breakfast and free WiFi. It might not be some 5 star Marriott, but it is certainly well worth the price. Right next to a subway station and you can get just about anywhere important in no time. If you're on a budget, this place is absolutely great.

Handy for MRT. Food nice.

Cigarette smoke smell everywhere. Breakfast not enough to eat from 9am. It will be more competitive to do an upgrade or renovation.

The MRT station is 1min walk from hotel side door, coach to airport is just located opposite the road, this is the main point for traveller when you depend on public transport, very convenient & good location

It is located next to the Mass Rapid Train exit.

Very convenient location right opposite MRT station. 10-15 min easy walk to major shopping centre. Easy public transportation to and from airport and places of interest. Hotel offers limited breakfast choices, it is a simple hotel.

Very good location with train station next to hotel within minutes. Surrounded with food chains across the streets. Getting from airport to hotel is convenient too, just take Evergreen bus and will get you to the hotel.

I liked the location very much, the price is reasonable, and most staff were very helpful. I also liked it that they provide free internet in the rooms. Some feedback. The walls are very thin so I could hear my neighbour drawing a bath around midnight every night. Also, I feel that they could do more to cut energy consumption - I would come back to a made up room with the air conditioning and lights on. I didn't like that one bit. In addition, they should leave an optional door hanger for guests to indicate if they'd like their room made or not. All in all, a good experience and I wouldn't mind staying there again.

hotel was in a good location not far from the taipei 101 by subway. subway entrance was right next to the front lobby door. Very surprised by the breakfast, it was better than I thought. I would definately stay at the kdm hotel again.

It is a budget hotel. In terms of price and location, it is unbeatable. I will consider to stay there again.

The location to the MRT was fantastic, right out the front door, and 2 blocks away were some restaurants and a 7-11. It was nice and quiet. I was a bit annoyed at having to pay for internet facilities, and when I did want to use it, I couldn't cause the front desk man was there. The pricing left a little to be desired, to have a regular coffee sent to your room would cost NT200! The breakfast was good considering the paper plates. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Its basic and you get what you pay for. Overall, I'd stay there again.

Very handy for transportation as it is next to the underground. Nice big and clean room with very large, clean bathroom.

This hotel is very well located and this is truly its best feature and strength. Most convenient for connection within Taipei and the Airport bus which stops outside the hotel. Clean water is provided in the room and if you don't speak Mandarin well, you can certainly rely on the helpful staff to make your bookings at restaurants and for transportation. Will definitely stay here again if I return to Taipei.

Good cheap budget hotel . Clean quiet and Safe. Very convenient for Airport transfer(Evergreen Bus NT4135 Stop 9) and next to MTR station. Theres not alot around it thogh starbucks mc donalds and 7/11 are all near by but for a base it was great

The rooms are small comparative to most other hotels; however, it is clean and simple, yet with all the essentials that one may need (it does not have a safe - so it depends ...). The location is excellent and unbeatable - right outside Exit 3 of Zhong Xiao Hsing Shen station that is on the main metro line, thus able to connect you to almost anywhere in Taipei city. The complimentary breakfast is not bad, but apart from a nearby cafe there isn't too many restaurants or eateries; you need to either walk about 10 minutes, or catch a metro 1-2 stops away to enjoy the abundance that is Taiwan eating.

Things I like about Taipei KDM Hotel: 1) Front entrance is steps away from MRT station! 2) Front desk clerks are always polite and helpful. 3) Room is clean, including the bathroom. 4) Room is quiet even though it is facing a busy street. I stayed on the 7th floor. 5) 'Drinking fountain' is in the room. It saves us a lot of time and money from buying bottles of water. 6) A computer with Internet access is available in a small room near the front entrance, though the speed is a bit slow. 7) A good deal for what we paid. Note: The size of the room may be small for most Americans, who are used to much bigger rooms. But we are okay with it. We only have mid-sized luggages.

This was my first visit to Taiwan and so I did not know what to expect. The KDM Hotel Taipei proved to be a pleasant surprise. Though, ranked as a three star hotel I found my room to be well maintained and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was buffet style. A restaurant was attached, though menus do not offer English translations. The hotel is centrally located, next to the MRT and local bus stops. The MRT gives you easy access to the Taipei Undergound Mall, Sogo Department stores, Shinlin night market (via MRT red line). The KDM is a great deal for a budget travellor.

the staff are excellent, very helpful and always pleasant. this hotel is in a good location with a MTR station practically on the doorstep and close to the Guang Hua electronics market. the hot buffet breakfast also means that it is very good value for money. my only complaints would be that the floor level was uneven between the main room and the bathroom so i kept stubbing my toe going to and from the bathroom; also some mould on the ceiling in the wardrobe was unhygenic.
