Kenmare Bay Hotel

The rooms are fine, but there was a wedding party on the Saturday night which resulted in noise all night. The room faced the parking courtyard on the other side to the wedding party, but the noise was still very loud. The breakfast is very poor quality. The pool facilities are nice. Overall, it was an overpriced hotel.

An absoloutely fantastic hotel!

pool is lovely very warm compared to most pools, rooms nice waiting staff very pleasant and helpful.

Superb staff, excellent hotel that seems to have recently reinvested heavily in its facilities.

Can get a double room at the same price as a local B&B, so why not! Plus it has a swiming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, bar and great bar food, (probably the same food as it's restaurant). So it's a great spot to wind down after a long day doing the Ring of Kerry.

This was our second time staying in this Hotel, the first time we upgrade our room but I was very disappointed, the bed was extremely small and the lighting in the bedroom and bathroom was terrible, the food in the restaurant was average. But on a good note the staff were very attentive and the facilities were lovely. The second time we stayed in a standard room and the bed was bigger and we dined in a restaurant in the town which was lovely.

Bedrooms were clean and tidy but the service and food in the bar was poor and the room small. Bar food finished at 8.30 on Saturday night which was quite early. It was little busy on Friday Night and the staff could not handle it, I would not like to see how they handle the peak season in the middle of Summer. The staff on the reception were very helpfull and polite.

Shower wasn't up to standards in the room. Overall hotel was lovely with very friendly staff.

There are two sections to this hotel - one recently refurbished and one not yet refurbished (July 07). I was put in one of the old rooms, which bear no resemblance to the new style of the hotel. It was quite dowdy and shabby, but clean and very spacious.

Kenmare Bay Hotel is an excellent hotel in a very good location, about 10min walk into town. The bar food however in my opinion let it down. We didn't try the restaurant though so can't comment on that, but breakfast was standard.

This is a beautiful hotel. I would reccommend it to anyone. I am now even thinking about having my wedding reception there.

This hotel is situated in a great location, just 3 minutes walk from Kenmare town.

Kenmare Bay Hotel is building new facilities - leisure centre pool etc adn these will be completed in early 2007. It is very near to the centre of town where there are lots of places to eat and shop. It is worth getting out and about in the town as it is in a beatiful place in ireland - walking, boating fishing etc and is less commercial than neighbouring Killarney.
