Kensington Park Hotel San Francisco Guest Reviews

4 out of 5

We were very pleased with our stay at the Kensington Park Hotel. The staff was extremely accomodating and personable. The room was decorated beautifully and as most other reviewers have stated, the bed very comfortable. We were in town without a car and were able to walk to everything we wanted to see in Union Square. The complimentary hot tea and sherry in the evenings was a nice touch. We had a terrific view as well. No air conditioning and a bit stuffy in the evening. While the window opened, the noise below prevented it. There is a beautiful ceiling fan.

My sisters and I take a Xmas shopping trip to SF every year and try to stay at a different hotel each time. Location is great for 4 women walking around late at night cause we always try to hit the night spots the are very close to union square. We have always felt safe in this area. Beds we wonderful . This building has lots of history, and a lot still going on there. We enjoyed our experience and would stay there again.

The hotel's location was great and easily accessible to the cable cars and other public transportation. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions or requests we had. Although our room faced the street it was not very noisy and we were told we could change rooms if it was a problem. It is a little worn around the edges but the rooms were clean and we had no concerns.

I loved staying at this hotel. It was clean, beautiful, and decently priced. The amenities were great. The beds were very comfortable. I slept so well. I will stay there again in the future. I I suggest trying this hotel as I was quite happy with it.

Well, it is a small hotel. It is not like the website pictures AT ALL.Staff is nice but that is about it. They do not go like 'all the way' to help you. The bellman is great, he will give you directions and advise you where to go. Our room was VERY dusty and the sheets where not clean. The carpet is old and dirty. The have complimentary coffee, tea and sherry which is good. The location is absolutely FABULOUS. Nice area, no trouble. Can walk around at night. I think it is the best location in all of San Francisco. if you are going on a trip to site see this is the hotel for you. If you are going with family mmm I might check somewhere else. But again, the location cannot be beat. It is in the middle of everything. Great wireless service although no business center. Need to take your own gadget...

We came to visit the Stein Family collection at SFMoMA and other museums as well as to eat at some of San Francisco's great restaurants. The location was perfect for access to all public transit we needed. We enjoyed the near proximity of the Farallon, an outstanding restaurant, and others only slightly more distant. The entire staff at Kensington Park was friendly and very helpful. The concierge left nothing to be desired. One of our nicest stays In San Francisco. What we asked for, we got.

This hotel has a great location for anything you want to do in San Francisco. You don't need a car but if you have one - go to the Sutter/Stockton garage - it's cheaper. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would go back.

This hotel was a lovely surprise on my first visit to San Francisco. The hotel has a comfortable 'English' feel to it and is in a fantastic location near Union square which made it readily accessible to all the major shops and tourist attractions. The staff were exceptionally helpful and courteous and nothing was a problem for them. The only minus for me was the noise from Post St at night but that was resolved with a pair of ear plugs. I would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location right next to Union Square - great if you are a shopper or for getting Cable Car (Tram) to Fishermans Warf. Room was clean but basic (TV was poor). No breakfast but plenty of options around including a cafe next door. The service was excellent, they couldn't do enough to help! I'd stay again.

A lovely, charming very small hotel right in Union Square. Great starting place for touring, shopping, etc. The help was mostly very helpful and nice. The room was small but clean. We had a lovely time and would stay there again, and have recommended it to friends and family.

This hotel is in a great position, right near Union Square and the cable cars. There are plenty of good restaurants near and they actually have a live theatre stage in the hotel. It has an old world flavour about it. We were very happy at this hotel and found the staff very helpful and friendly.
