Keton Motel Hualien

Nice place for less money. The spa is awesome! Just skip the breakfast (coupon for MC Donald), there are nice places to have authentic Taiwanese breakfast close by.

+ Massage seat, King size bed, Whirlpool in the bathroom, huge TV, AC, free internet access (LAN, no WLAN), very friendly staff - washbasin was not cleand properly, lots of mosquitoes

Spacious and lowly priced but it's a sleezy place. Room was also infested with mosquitoes. I would not recommend Keton to anyone. For cheap accommodation, go for B&B instead.

The Romantic Rooms are something to be seen, very interesting interior. Huge double spa bath in the bathroom which we didn't get the chance to use as we only stayed one night. Great location as it's 10 mins walk down the road from the Hualien Rear Train Station. Across the road from the Train Station rear exit is a 7 Eleven, next to it is a scooter hire shop. You can hire a scooter with no license for 400TWD for the whole day. I recommend doing this to see Taroko National Park. I had no prior experience on a scooter but after 15mins of practice got the hang of it.

Business room more like a love nest. Not all goodies worked, but jacuzzi and massage chair did. Switched off main power at night to avoid lying in a sort of substation. Breakfast voucher and some more amenities indeed included.
