Great service from all the staff, friendly and clean
Nothing too flash in the room we stayed. But everything is perfectly adequate. The breakfast buffet is unchanging but impressive. Beds comfortable and clean. Swimming pool a bit murky with leaf debris and the odd insect in it. Staff friendly and helpful. Position could hardly be better, set within very easy walking distance of the major central sites (BT market, cathedral, unification palace, town hall, opera house and post office -- worth a visit inside for the architecture. Definitely stay again.

The hotel staff is pleasant and helpful. The rooms is clean and the location is in the central. There is a shopping centre next to the hotel and walking distance for about 10min to Ben Than market. Overall this is a good hotel, which I will recommend to my friends.
The Kimdo is very well located, but the hotel is in a need of a facelift. The rooms are tired and very early 90s and there is no air-conditioning in the hall ways and lift lobby areas. This sounds like a small things, but it gets VERY hot. Breakfast was ordinary, and the same every day. Whilst there is a large variety of eastern and some western foods, none are particulary good. Here it appears to be a case of quantity, not quality. (I'm still trying to work out exactly who has cake and pate for breakfast). Finally, beware of the massage facilities. The staff seem more keen to perform other services rather than relieve a sore and aching back after a long day of sightseeing. There are better hotels in the same area for less money. I won't be going back.
this hotel is in a very good location, in the heart of the city. Staffs are friendly but the rooms very old and conjustated !
For a hotel which is only 14 years old it looks a little tired once you get through the lobby. Our room had no view at all. The location of the hotel is its greatest feature. It's whithin walking distance of all the major sites around Saigon. The staff were very attentive and helpful when giving advice on things to do and importantly on how to avoid the pitfalls of some of Saigon's dodgy taxi drivers. We would stay here again but choose a better room.
Very nice hotel, huge room, good breakfast, should stay here if budget allows
A great hotel in a central location with good facilities. Unfortunately, sometimes the front desk service left a bit to be desired - it would often appear that everyone (and there were often several behind the desk) was working on your request, but then you would have to check and chase up. Overall though, I would definitely recommend this hotel in Saigon and would return.
Hotel is located in the pricier area of the city, but what you get in return is convienience (there is no subway station in Vietnam) in terms of location, and security (there may be cheaper hotels/motels in other districts, but security is not guaranteed in those districts). Good start for the first timer who is staying in Ho Chi Minh City.
The hotel is right in the action in district 1 with easy walking to great eateries, shopping(including the night market for shopping and great cheap food) and most of the major museums and attractions. The rooms are clean and quiet, a bonus to escape the hustle and bustle outside and the breakfast is many and varried. Well priced for what you get.
All the staff of this hotel were warm, friendly, helpful and gave impeccable service. Would enjoy staying there again.
