King Solomon Hotel London

"I booked this hotel after reading a previous review, I can put up with indifferent staff if the room is acceptable. Unfortunately it was the reverse. The lock did not work, the wardrobe doors were missing, the curtains were permanently wired and barely stretched across the window, there was a constant fall of water through a drain that ran down through the bathroom, a full sized domestic refrigerator hummed and buzzed against a wall and the room was very, very smokey despite my asking for a non smoker. At least the bed was clean and fresh so I did actually sleep keeping both windows open to prevent myself being kippered. Breakfast was acceptably average. Sooo . . . it seems a bit chancy here depending on your room!" - Martin Bostock

"Very good value for money. Not your dingy London hotel room. Spacious with good bathrooms. 24 hour service is effective, though the staff is not the friendliest. A bit of a tube ride, but Euston is close enough if you are not in a hurry." - Anonymous
