We enjoyed our stay at KIngfisher Resort. We found it quite expensive but worthwhile as special holiday. We loved the bus tour and the seafood buffet.

excellent resort, staff extremely professional, helpful and friendly
The resort main facilities were meticulously cleaned every day because of the fact that nature is encouraged. We had a problem in the room though with mustiness and that lack of use smell. otherwise we had a great time.
The resort was great but the Ssand Bar restaurant was very busy with day trippers. Hard to get food. Also, it was hard to believe what bad shape the "road" was that went back over the island. Otherwise, very nice.
If staying on Fraser Island I would definitely recommend staying at Kingfisher.
Very nice place to stay for a few days, the only thing to complain is the prices - almost everything is a bit overpriced, you can not enjoy it at full. Living not far from the Island you can not afford it more often. Too pricy.
Beautiful resort a real experience fantastic part of Australia. Just loved it.
The rooms where ok except that we lost power a couple of times and we also lost the tv reception. Some of the staff at the reception where not that helpfull
This is a beautiful resort and we enjoyed stating there, but there were some unnecessary disappointments. We were irritated by the lack of basics such as tea towels in the otherwise luxurious accommodation. Other resorts manage a welcoming bottle of sparking wine - a cheap way of making the tired arriving customer feel valued. Dining in the main restaurant was a disappointment - the food was OK but there were just not enough staff. Even though they were overworked the attitude of indifference from some staff was unacceptable. Most of the staff we encountered were helpful, knowledgeable and courteous, but some had insufficient command of English to respond to basic questions. Overall a fantastic resort that feels as though money is so short that the customer experience is being neglected.
We mainly used the resort to refuel and rechare our energy batteries... we would have loved to have had time to relax and just enjoy the resort facilities but we were there to explore the island. The time we did spend at the resort was perfect :)
The resort is set in a brilliant location and this is a great plus. However, the service is amateurish at best and for the price is not good enough. The resort also must see to connecting the flights and ferries properly to avoid long waits.
Top class hotel embedded in the forrest, hardly seen from the sea. Wonderful located some 100 meters from the beech with a very nice pool area. Delicious lamb served at the gourmet restaurant. Maybee a little overpriced.
Restaurant is too expensive for what you get.
I took relatives from overseas and they, as was I, were very impressed with the accomodation. We enjoyed a very relaxing time, with the opportunity to join in varied tours and activities. Well done!!!!
Maheno restaurant in the resort is overpriced and inconsistent in food quality/serving sizes. Seabelle is a good restaurant; definitely recommended.
Great place we loved every minute
We've got a room for the half price and therefore it was okay. This resort was built 15 years ago and actually our room looked like this. The fridge in the tight cupboard produced more heat than chillness, the toilet flush didn't stop running (plumber had to come) and the lovely view to the road ... marvelous! But as I mentioned before: comparing to the camping sites on fraser and with this price it was okay.
World class resort and facilities, marred by the fact it is staffed by young adults who have no customer service skills or interest in gaining them. Orders were consitently wrong, overpriced and served with attitude when we asked for help in getting it right. Housekeeping arrived anywhere between 9:30am and 3:30pm which is frustrating when you want an afternoon sleep in your room. Overall a brilliant destintation but don't go expecting reasonable service for the high prices you will pay.
The rooms are nice but they should update some details like the balcony doors. The food in the Strand Bar is ok but nothing special. They cant't make (italian) pizza! The wine tasting is very worthwile. For just 10 AUD you get a first overview about the Aussie wines!
