Getting there:Located mid-way between Alice Springs and Uluru (Ayers Rock), Watarrka National Park covers 71,000 hectares and is home to Kings Canyon. Kings Canyon Resort is situated just 7km from the Canyon. Air Qantas flights arrive daily at Alice Springs and Ayers Rock Airports from all major capital cities, including Cairns, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. Self Drive As Kings Canyon lies just 3 hours from both Uluru (Ayers Rock) and Alice Springs, self drive option is a popular option. The drive passes some incredible sites including Standley Chasm, Ellery Creek and Ormiston Gorge. The Mereenie Loop Road brings you right to the doorstep of the Resort. Organise a hire car at the airport or before you arrive or pre-book your car hire with Voyages. Alternatively take your own vehicle and design an itinerary to suit your own self drive experience. Coach Transfers Coach transfers are available and operate services between Alice Springs, Kings Canyon, and Uluru (Ayers Rock).

Simple but very cosy, with a spacious balcony allowing you to be in contact with Red Center nature.
Room was lovely but the noise the fan in the bathroom made each time the light was switched on was enough to spoil the remoteness.
Budget Room includes 1 double bed. Rooms do not contain a bathroom. Maximum 2 guests per room.
Standard rooms contain 2 x double beds or 1 x Queen Bed. Disabled rooms available on request only (subject to availability). Rates are for 2 people, additional charges apply for extra guests. Max Occupancy is 4 in a 2 x double bed room and 3 in a 1 x Queen Bed Room.
Deluxe Spa Rooms contain either 1 x King Bed and 1 x Sofa Bed or 2 x Queen Beds.
A $29 upgrade from a standard room to a spa room was offered at checkin - well worth it. Location is fantastic and staff were all helpful.
Very basic room, remote for Tv does not work, no room service; bed comfy, spacious room, big balcony, nice surrounds, quiet, parking outside the room.
Good place to have a juicy steak at the Outback BBQ Restaurant.
Campers used the kitchen facilities and fridge and keep doors open for late night get togethers. Otherwise - the resort is a perpect spot and the amenities ideal for travellers to stop and enjoy the surrounds.
We stayed in the budget rooms, they are not great but a lot cheaper than reagular rooms - not for everyone - but if you need a budget (not cheap room) they are ok.
Great location for exploring Kings Canyon. Deluxe spa room very comfortable with pleasant outlook. Hotel is expensive at peak period but got a good last minute deal using [website]. Recommend evening meal at eating outdoor BBQ at pub.
Great accomodation, however there is not much to choose from its pretty much the only place around! No minibar in the room! The staff were very helpful and friendly. Everything is quite expensive, food, wine and just in general.
The bushwalk around the property is good, should advertise watching sunset from the hill, we didn't find out until next morning and we only stayed one night. No restaurant serving breakfast, no idea where to eat breakfast, no information about the charge for room service for breakfast in room. Overall not a bad place to stay overnight.
Simple rooms but fantastic location. Pool is quiet small
Location and environment was good. Budget rooms are good, but we had a double bed and the room was tiny. Two legs on the bed were broken and the first night had to sleep with bricks under it. It was pretty late when we found this out, but the maintenance crew fixed it the next day. Other couples asked for twin beds and the rooms were so much bigger and in many rooms there were 3 or 4 beds. So I will ask for twin beds in future.
The spa was very nice fantastic secenery whilst sitting in it. We had no problems with enough water for two spas.

Didn't know that it was going to be such a nice hotel. Would have checked-in earlier to enjoy it a bit more had we known.
The staff was amazing in both the reception and maintenance. They upgraded our room and when our tv didn't work, moved us into a new room within five minutes. very nice
We were offered an upgrade for an extra $50 per night and this provided us with a luxury room which was real value for money
We were only in the resort gfor one night, but it provided a welcome haven from our busy schedule. Good restaurant.
We upgraded to hotel room which was well worth it as the budget was very basic.
