the hotel was lovely and clean and near enough sights etc to be able to walk. It did not do evening meals but staff advised on good restaraunts in the area which were lovely. It was also a very affordable hotel. I would use it again
Clean, quiet and close to center. Good breakfast buffet included. Can't ask for more! Good value for your money I will recomend to all my friends I am planning to go back there
Room was clean and pleasant. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included as part of tariff, buffet style so lots of choices.
Good location and very good service at reception. Extremely uncomfortable and small bathroom, however the general facilities and cleanliness was quite OK for staying for a couple of nights and not spending much time at hotel room.
Quite clean, changing towells every day, bed-clothes not at all during 4 nights stay. Old-fashioned furniture, shabby carpet and chairs,no hairdryer. Good location (15 min from center on foot). We paid 32 euros per night, double room, without breakfast.
My second time staying at the Kings - in a different part of the hotel this time. Room was fairly spacious and very clean. Had a small balcony too overlooking the street. Seemed to be e big selection at breakfast, although more cold than hot options. Located in the Jewish quarter and we walked to all the main sights so very central. Will definitely stay there again in the future.
I had a single room, which was very suitable, but it did not have a lounge chair, since the space was very small. The lounge chair would have made the room perfect, since it was not comfortable to sit and read if preferred.
the lift was not working for two days and if you are on the 5th floor it's very unconfortable the breakfast it's not good, both service and food. The number of tables is not sufficient for all the guests and the food of bad quality
Went there as group of 12 girls. Reception staff were very helpful, giving us tips of where to go at night and booking tables for us, even offering to take group photos of us in crazy outfits! Good variety at breakfast. Handy location for seeing the sights during the day and going out at night. Rooms were very clean and in good condition. Safe in room came in very handy. Would definitely stay there again!
Kings Hotel Budapest is quite nice hotel in the city center between two metro stations of Octagon and Blaha Luiza ter. Big rooms, nice buffet breakfast - hotel really deserves three stars!!! Budapest is marvellous! Next time I we are in Budapest definately will stay at Kings Hotel.
Stayed one night. Location was perfect for us. Receptionist very friendly and helpfull. Excellent breakfast.
Great hotel in a great central location. Reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay there again!
The Kings Hotel is very conveniently located and a great place to stay. My room was very large and was well equipped. I enjoyed my stay and definately will be back.
This hotel was good if you're happy with the bare minimum. We were put on the 4th floor and told the lift was out of order (it was fixed the next day). We had 2 singles which we easily made into a double. The buffet breakfast wasn't nice so we survived of toast and jam. The location was very good however, the street joins the Jewish Museum. The nearest subway station was about a 10 min walk.
You could do much better in Budapest. I got a room with no window! And the walls were so thin you could hear every word your neighbours said. After 7 you could forget about sleeping, because you were awaken by doors slamming and so on..
The location of this hotel is good if you travel to Budapest by train - it is between Keleti station & the main tourist sights (only 10-15 minute walk). The service we received from the staff varied greatly. Some were very helpful. Others were extremely unhelpful. The breakfast area was too small & understaffed. People were waiting for somewhere to sit for several minutes. The bedrooms were clean, the beds comfortable. The website says recently renovated, but our room had a stained carpet, stains on the ceiling, a damaged shower and cracked bathroom tiles. My biggest complaint about the hotel is how noisy it is. The walls were so thin we could hear everything that was said and done in the other rooms and corridor. Also the traffic outside was extremely loud. It is not a place to stay if you like a good night's sleep. Would I recommend this hotel to a friend? No. If you go to stay there, ask for a room at the back of the hotel on the top floor and bring earplugs.
Good value for money, most attractions are 15 min walk but feels like a lot longer when the temperature plunges to -9 in the winter. Would stay there again!
Hotel was in a very good location and although the frontage of the building looked run down the interior was bright and clean. The twin rooms were on the small size although the triple room we had was vast incomparison. Nice plasma TV.... Would recommend the hotel for people who are looking for a good value place to stay if you are going out to drink at the pubs all day.
