Kings Hotel London Guest Reviews

3.4 out of 5

Quite old and a bit tatty, shower was limescaled, and had to guess how to work as no indication to which direction to turn tap for hot and cold, also tv reception very poor, and not even the four basic terrestrial channels were available. Spare pillow was badly stained, with what looked like blood, and general room feel was very tatty. Breakfast was very basic, options were cornflakes, toast or croissant, with tea, coffee and OJ only. On the plus the staff were quite freindly and helpful, but the hotel needs bringing out of the 1970s.

Its not luxury, but its a sheap way to stay in the middel of everything...

The only thing we consideinred as clean due to a Norwegain standard was the sheets... They also had an Indian restaurant at the groundfloor that caused a lot of smell in the afternoons. Breakfast was four different types of marmelade an toasted white bread and juice/coffe/tea. The good things about this was that it was lokated on a quit street 3 min walk form the underground, nice staff, nice price and always hot water in the shower :o) -

I booked this hotel for a budget stay in London with my 3 adult daughters. For the price that we were paying we didn't expect a lot! Our room was shabby but the sheets and towels were lovely and clean and the room was cleaned well but in need of refurbishment - the furniture and bathroom looked about 20 - 30 years old. The staff were really helpful. The stairs were a challenge as our room was on the 4th floor.

Excellent location, close to Kensington Gardens and Queensway tube station. Friendly staff, basic breakfast facility. A place to return to.

Very basic budget hotel but excellent location- bus and tube very close. No lift so ask for a lower floor room.

Kings Hotel is for people who just want a stay to sleep, and not for those who want to spend much time in the room. The standard is very simple, but pretty okay. Very small and narrow rooms for two, and the bathroom is even smaller. Especially the shower! The hotel is situated in Bayswater, and it´s a quiet area far from bars and noise at night. The only irritaded thing could be the tourists buses waiting outside the big hotel near by with the engine on early in the morning. I recommend the hotel for budget travellers!

We got what we wanted - a decent place to stay. Clean and OK rooms, good continental BF (with warm croisants!). A bit of a screwup with our rooms, but it was eventually settled. Situated very close to Bayswater and Queensway Underground. All in all - 7,5/10!

I never got to stay at the hotel because they had "some problem with the rooms". Insted they had booked me an other hotel in the same street, this hotel worked fine with me...

Rooms are very small and all you get for breakfast is toast bread, butter and jam... Plus they start to turn over the chairs on breakfast tables at 0930 (end of breakfast period) even if you are still eating!...

I was very impressed by this value-for-money hotel. It even includes a light breakfast.
