A little get away from work to see a football game Found a very nice ,quite, friendly hotel
Good experience; Good family hotel with a pool and a resturant. Surprisingly quiet, however this was at mid October.
The location and the room was good. Had some amenities like iron and some other stuff that was not there but the rest looked fine.
Well worth the money - but they nickle and dime you for any extras like refrigerator, microwave, boarding pass - but that said, I's go back. Pool area very nice. Great value.
A really good deal, good decor, palm trees and flowers. Excellent pool and jacuzzi. Good breakfast/lunch restaurant off the lobby; %10 pass given every day. The only down note was the carpet had some wierdies therein. after walking around without socks I got an irritating itch. I brought it to the attention and they immediately sent the maintenance man to check. That room had been earmarked for a new carpet soon and it didn't make it into the computer. That graciously moved me to a new room, and all was fine.
Staff was helpful and friendly. The onsite restaurants were handy and affordable. The rooms were cleaned promptly every day and we were allowed early check in for no charge because we ate our lunch in the restaurant. This is an older hotel and yet is updated just fine. Its not new but has been maintained nicely. The pool area is nice and we found the area to be quiet and convenient.
I went to San Diego to go to Seaworld, I had fun at that place so did my family. I didn't like that the hotel wanted me to pay a $10 fee to check in before 4:00 pm, I got to the hotel at 12:35pm, so I had to keep my luggage with me on my way to seaworld, I didn't like that at all!!!!!
This is our second time at this hotel. We used to live in SD and we visit often. This hotel is centrally located to all, it's pretty clean and the price is certainly right. The staff is friendly and helpful. The place caters to those on a budget and families, so if the college crowd is around we have had it get kind of loud. I called the front desk they sent security out immediately to quiet things down, so that was good. Bathrooms are small and the rooms are kind of dated, but for the price it's a good deal. I will stay here again.
The hotel is centrally located on hotel circle and just an exit away from the 163 which will take you in minutes to Hillcrest and Balboa Park. The staff is really friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and there is a nice pool and hot tub. A great value!
The room generally was okay. The carpet was filthy--had to wear shoes or socks. It was clean (besides the carpet) but old. The beds were comfortable. The staff was very helpful in giving printed directions to every where we asked about. When we first arrived there was a problem with a chirping smoke alarm, and that was taken care of quickly by the maintenance. You get what you pay for!
After booking a flight and hotel combo with Orbitz we thought we got a great deal. I paid extra for a poolside room, and also for additional car insurance with our rental.... after checking in for both it was found that I should have just kept my money as the hotel had no idea we made a poolside reservation and was not concerned with our rate, the car rental depot made us purchase their insurance and basically said that the one i pre-bought was no good.... all in all the vacation was good - the hotel although just a discount motel was comfortable, it was in a very convenient location, it had a FANTASTIC pool and some good food on site, the staff were friendly and I would book again to take my family in a second. I just would think twice about the additional add-ons offered as I did not get what I paid for in the end.
for the price i paid for my room it was excellent!!!! the location was in the middle of everything...5-10 mins to mission beach and sea world, 10-15 mins to coranado island, and 5 mins to the heart of san diego. the pool area was awesome and the hot tube was nice. the beds were VERY comfortable. my spouse has a hard time sleeping in unfamiliar beds but here he had no problem. the amigo spot had great food, decent prices, and on saturday night live jazz music (awesome). my only issue was the waffle spot was way over priced...$9 for a waffle...i dont think so. i would have no problems staying here again.
Good location. It is good for that price. People are friendly.
room was very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful (especially when I was charged for the room after paying almost a month in advance through orbitz, they refunded the money quickly), food service was the best I must say!
The staff was friendly enough but the first room smelled moldy so we got another room. Great beds and pillows, too! Loved that part about it. The rest was pretty ordinary as we spent only one night and did not get to enjoy the pool/jacuzzi as they closed before we got back to our room, which was late. The bedding was great but the bathrooms were entirely too small. Also, no water pressure whatsoever. That's about it. A good night's sleep, however. Would recommend just for a good night's sleep. (and the reasonable rates). They could use a free continental breakfast there, too. (Like coffee and a doughnut?)
Hotel was nice. They charged for early check-in and did not have any double rooms available. So 4 of us had to sleep in a room with 1 king bed.
Free parking, Free wifi, awesome onsite breakfast place, the pool is pretty big compared to other hotels around that area. Everything is near this place as far as tourist attractions, places to eat and shop. Interior is a little out dated but all you really need on a trip is a bed and shower :)
Kings Inn is a good hotel for the price. Clean and quiet at night which is always a plus. The hotel was pretty full and there were lots of people, but all well behaved. I did not get to try out the resturants. Will make it there the next time I stay. And I do plan to stay again.
Good to take kids, staff was frendly but the room were fairly small
Great hotel for the price and for the location. Hotel circle is right off the freeway and easy to get to any location that you might want. We hung out with friends at Mission Beach for a couple of days. This place was nice because it was less then 10 min to get to Mission Beach. The hotel was clean and quiet and in a very safe area vs staying down near the sports arena in a shady motel or paying $30/day for parking down in the Gaslamp Dist. It fit the bill for a safe, clean, and quiet place to stay that was easy travels to anything in SD that you might want to see. The staff were very nice and attentive with all my requests. We used the pool and jacuzzi late one night. The pool was heated to 80 degrees! The staff gave us some warning that they were going to lock up the pool since it was after the 10pm closing time. Even though that kicked us out, I think it was a good thing since i might be the one with the room that is poolside when there is a rowdy bunch at the pool after hours. All in all, it was a good choice for us.
