Kingsgate Hotel Autolodge Paihia

Unfortunately we were given a room in the 'old' wing of the property. While the room was clean, everything about it was outdated. The shower head and ceiling in the bathroom was quite low, so a little difficult for those with a little height. Location was reasonably quiet, however there was some noise from neighbouring (private) properties. Very short walk to town and restaurants. Overall - pleasant stay.

The room was clean and comfortable. The price was competitive and included a continental breakfast which was able to be upgraded to a full bfast for a small amount. The room was cleaned daily, we stayed there for 2 nights. It also included cooking facilities.

They were most obliging and helpful. The meals were really good and all of the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgable. Would go back again.

The studio rooms were a decent size with kitchen facilities. We had two rooms for New Year's Eve & also booked 4 adults into the buffet dinner. We had a ring side table for the fireworks at midnight and were able to stay there from 8pm. The food was excellent, some of the staff had limited English but were all helpful, pleasant and obliging. All in all it was great value for money and the recpetionists helpful and speedy.

The guest laundry was very convenient. The location was magic.

A good sized room with a small kitchen facility which was very convenient. Decor was bright and sunny and the location was excellent. We stayed here for two nights and I would stay here again if we revisit Paihia.

Friendly and cooperative staff. Good bar facilities with a friendly happy hour. Close to all restaurants and the wharf area.

Excellent convenient location. The Breakfast was great with appopriate selaction and service. The shower presented a bit of a messy problem with no door or curtain to contain water within the shower rather than all over the floor.

We thought it was very good value for money. However it does need to be refurbished. We enjoyed our stay there very much

Great location, two minutes from from ferry to Russell, good value buffet meals, large rooms, great value!

Everything you want from a holiday short stay

Not bad for a large, chain - type hotel. The only problem was the noise from the backpackers out the back of the West wing of the hotel. So long as the window was closed, it was fine though.

A excellent place to stay very friendly staff

Staff at check-in very helpful and friendly. Quickly attended to house-keeping oversight in room (dirty dishes left) and offered us complimentary breakfast. Very pleasant girl, wish I could remember her name, as she helped make our pleasurable stay even more so. Would definitely go back to Kingsgate.
