Enjoyed my one night stay on the weekend - reception very helpful and bartender at loung graciously gave me all the ice I needed for retiring to watch All Blacks game in my room. Will return as a satisfied customer. The price trhrough this service was very good as well.
room 502 a couple things needed attention the wall heater was outdated and noisey the room smelt musty and the electric jug needed to be replaced as the element was rusted theses defects were pointed out on the comments form on departure
We had avery enjoyable stay in greymouth
Thought the meals were a touch expensive but were of a high standard
Well located, close to the centre. The rooms were clean but beding looked old. The room also itself needed some refreshment. The restourant was excellend and the service was second to none. Highly recomend if you decide to stay in this Motel.
Very good price and right in the centre of town close to shops and food places. Warm rooms with plenty of space. Perfect accomodation
Hotel downstairs was terrific with helpful staff and a very flash restaurant. The room however was terrible - bathroom with mouldy corners and a window in the shower that overlooked the street. Parking was off down the street and the room had a tiny double bed and a single when we requested a king.
Was pleasently surprised for what I paid for on an exceptionally fantastic cheap rate! Bathroom was expectionally clean. Plenty of facilities in hotel. Would definately stay again and highly recommend.
suited our purpose in location. Having a bath was a rare bonus. The lighting was very poor. I do think they might make more of their history as parts of that hotel must be quite old Green cleaning idea is good
Nice hotel in a small place like greymouth
Staff very friendly. Room was very clean if a little poky but way past its renevation due by date.
Probably the worst hotel bed I've ever slept in! Also room dated and shabby and smelt musty, but was clean. However service was friendly, good meal in the bar, and really nice breakfast.
I spent a night at the Kingsgate Hotel Greymouth recently, and found it to be great in every aspect. I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. The dining room also serves really delicious meal.
Very good hotel for the price. Rooms well appointed and bar meals excellent. Greymouth nothing special but visit Pancake rocks 25miles north.
soap bowls were dirty and back shower wall was dirty. The showers were substandard, could not control the water temeprature.
Somewhat impersonal but no complaints.
The budget priced unit was as expected and smelled a bit musty, but it was right in the centre of town and the staff were wonderful
No wireless internet for free or at a reasonable price.
