Excellent location. Me and my partner stayed there while it was raining. we went for a walk around the complex, and found over 10 buckets collecting drips. The front wing with the superior rooms are above average, and would only recommend staying in those. On the downside room was a little dirty, especially when you find other peoples hair located in the bathroom and next to the bed. Breakfest was not very fresh at 9.30am, i do understand it closes at 10am, but expected better. other than that; 3 out 5.
The room we got didn't look like the one in the picture when we booked it, a bit run down. Mentioned this to the staff at the front desk and got upgraded to a superior room at no xtra cost. Staff all very friendly and helpful would be happy to stay again. Good facilities.Great location.

Very old hotel, but still clean and tidy. They pool area is good for the kids along with the grass court yard outside the down stair twin room
Ordered a cot, and it was not in the room/not delivered as advised. When questioned reception, were told it 'should' be there. Vending machine didnt work - no out of order signage. Rooms are very tired- but value for money not too bad. Do something about those scrambled eggs- they are artificial and tasteless. Breakfast staff, very laid back, but reception & bar good.
hotel requires a lot of outside mantainence,eg paint etc.Inside all ok.food and service outstanding.Would stay again.
Impressive foyer but hallways and rooms we viewed were old and tired. Initially given hideous cabin-style room. We complained and were given a free upgrade to more recently renovated room but with small second bed. Shower tiling very dirty. No newspaper delivered to room. Our complaints were handled well but overall not a good experience. Would not personally give repeat custom to a Kingsgate Hotel.
A very basic hotel. Needing a facelift.
We were very pleasantly surprised when we entered the Hotel as the outside is yet to be upgraded, and wasn't very inviting, but once inside there has been alot of work done. The room was very good and staff excellent
Apart from the general smell (sulphur) which can't be helped everything was excellent. We had the pool to ourselves and were singing away quite happily. Also enjoyed the gym. We were on a budget, but we got an excellent deal....would recommend this hotel to others for sure.
everything good cant fault it. we didnt get in till midnight and there was someone waiting on the desk. Room beautiful and free up grade what can I say? it was fab. thanx.

It was quite a good place to stay. However, the building is getting very tired and could do with a bit of an upgrade. However, in saying that it was pleasant and clean it is just starting to look its age.
Confortable dispite room being very small, would happly stay again. Parking is an issue, but a short walk never killed anybody, did it?
We found the Hotel fantastic not because of its cluster of clean rooms its many corridors and avenues of exit,but mainly because of its fantastic ,happy ,nothing is to much trouble,receptionists and staff,the walk into town from the hotel was a challenge but we found it ok,transfere bus would be good.
A good hotel with good service but the location of the hotel on every website I looked at is very misleading - it is way out from the centre of town
The standard room was quite unacceptable, there was no airconditioning at all, and the room was pretty old. But we asked for an upgrade, and was given a premium room with only $20 extra. The premium room is much better.
Building looks old on the outside but pleasantly surprised that the rooms were good and appears newly renovated. Staff was a bit lax on arrival, probably because of a Friday but still...

Front desk service was second to none as was cleaning service.
I booked a twin room but was allocated a double with only the one bed.. This had to be changed via a long trek back to the desk.. Very good breakfast.. Nice tidy bar with half size pool table and large tv screen.. Door to rooms from car park was shabby and dirty but was very close to the only lift..
