The Kingston is a family run hotel situated in Dun Laoghaire town centre overlooking Dublin Bay. We have spectacular views over the Carlisle Pier which can be enjoyed from the dining room, lounge & many of the bedrooms. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the Stena Line Ferry Terminal and Dun Laoghaire Dart(train) station which will get you to Dublin city centre in 15 - 20 minutes.

Getting there:From Dublin Airport by car follow the signs for Dun Laoghaire Ferry Terminal over the East Link Toll therefore bypassing the city centre. The Ferry terminal is located off Crofton Road. From Crofton Rd turn right at traffic lights onto Marine Road. At the top of Marine Rd turn left onto Georges Street and take second left off Georges Street onto the Adelaide Street. The hotel is located at the end of the street on the right.
Check-in Procedure:Although standard check-in is 2pm, we do have a left luggage. Therefore luggage can be left prior to check in or after check out. Early check in may be arranged if organized in advance
Car parking:We have a car park adjacent to the hotel for residents which is free of charge. However the area in front of the hotel is a designated metre zone so pay parking is in affect from 8am to 7pm Monday to Saturday inclusive.
Child Policy:infants under 2yrs are free of charge. Children 2 to 12 yrs incl. are charged as an extra person. Over 12 yrs is charged at adult price
good value for money,it would be nice if the breakfast food was kept warm I was first to be in the dining room and the food was 'warm'only
drinks were expensive 5.40 euros for a quarter bottle of wine

Food first class
The Kingston Hotel is in a lovely location, over looking the harbour of Dun Laoghire. Rooms are small, but adequate. It was though, a bit noisy, with guests returning to their rooms after a late night out, plus the Dart rail service passes quite close to the hotel, but this was not a major problem. There is a nice bar, that serves meals, plus you can enjoy a drink in the nice gardens, that again over look the harbour area. Reception and bar staff were pleasant and helpful.
A hotel with basic standards but is well located in the town. Noisy the weekend I stayed because a wedding reception was being held in the hotel. I would be satisfied to return to this hotel but only for a short stay.
Very comfortable hotel, close to bus and rail transport and shops. Bedroom a bit on the small side but adequate. Lovely views from Dining Room across Dublin Bay. Good food served for lunch and dinner in bar. Good value all round. Would recommend.
Nice room great sea view. Helpfull friendly staff. Restaurant only open for breakfast but good quality bar meals.
Can be noisy due to ferry trippers.

The location was a major asset to this hotel. Close to DART, close to the ferry terminal, and close to the waterfront. Some wedding receptions and other planned activities limited some of the features of the hotel.

We had a very pleasant stay, the room was good, the food was very good especially breakfast. We found the staff very helpfull and the bar quite lively in the evening. Would certainly stay again.
I stayed here with my wife and two children and found it to be an excellent option for a family visit. Rooms are large and spotless. Breakfast was very good. Proximity to the DART makes it an ideal location for everything from City Centre Shopping to attending rugby matches at Lansdowne Road.
The hotel is a nice place in great location for a few relaxing days.
The location of the hotel is great you can easy travel to Dublin city by dart or bus so you don't need your car.
Would definitely go back.
My request to have my wife's birthday recognised on New Year's eve, was met above and beyond my expectation. Food preparation and service very good.
