We stayed for 3 nights and couldn't fault the staff. Very friendly and extremely helpful. The room itself was basic but very clean. The only fault I had was the almost non existent pillows. So thin they couldn't pass as pillows. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Ill be coming back here when if I decide to return. Its a really good price for a hotel located in the city. Its not your flashy type of hotel but decent and good enough if youre staying for a couple of days. The room I had was a single which was clean and had your basics like desk, bed lamp, your own tap and sink, mirror heater which is good and saves you walking down stairs to the bathroom and toilets. And the bed was pretty comfy and warm considering it had an old window which didnt close and it was during the kiwi winter months. Also bring a book or your laptop if your staying in a single cos it can get boring if your not doing anything at night. Internet wifi though was a bit pricy though.
Ideal for the solo traveller - a single room containing bed, hand-basin, chair and desk. The bathrooms are located down the end of the corridors.
A single bedroom with it's own private bathroom. Facilities include hair dryer, TV and phone, tea and coffee making facilites.
The room contains 1 double bed, and has a telephone, television, tea and coffee making facilities and a hair dryer. The ensuite bathroom contains a shower. The room has opening windows.
The room contains 2 single beds, and has telephone, television, tea and coffee making facilities and a hair dryer. The ensuite bathroom contains a shower. The room has opening windows.
I have stayed more than once at this hotel. It was clean, recently renovated with paint and carpet and I felt safe. The mattresses were proper ones not sponge rubber. The only thing I missed was the ability to access a kitchen to make a cup of coffee or heat up some porridge, particularly on chef's day off. It was annoying too that a backup chef was not employed to cook breakfasts/dinners on his day off and then it took another day to get up to speed so 4 days only. Handy to bus stops (50cents to get up Queen Street) and only 10 minutes walk to Aotea Square, five minutes to K Road.
My room was very small, but very clean and contained everything I needed - bed, nice pillow, desk, plenty of power outlets, TV, hangers, coffee making, bathroom with good mirror and lighting. Recommend this hotel if you are not planning on spending a lot of time in your room. Staff were helpful and room was serviced with a extra towel as requested. Walls are freshly painted and there is lots of artwork, so feels cheerful.
Great location just back off Queen st but dont expect luxury! Eg fairly noisy and well worn but price reflects that so you get what you pay for. Ok for night or 2 for sure - if your not the Queen.
Basic accommodation in central Auckland. Relatively good value for the price, but the bed was very (too) soft, it was like sleeing on a hammock. The room got unbearably hot with the summer afternoon sun, and there were no fans to cool down. Would not stay there again.
Very good for a three star hotel. Particularly impressed with barman who served drinks as well as preparing meals; his manner was professional yet friendly. This hotel has greatly improved since my last stay.
This hotel is very handy to all facilities. It is older, but very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.I would have no hesitation in staying again
Stayed only one night on this occasion. Very good value. No cheaper basic economy rooms in Auckland.
Nice place to stay, right on queens street, close to city center.
The hotel is located near the main street of Auckland. A bit old building but very clean and friendly stuffs made us comfortable. Good value for money.
Great place to stay!
The front desk staff, Mackay, is very helpful and all the cleaners deserved a mentioned.
The room was Ok. The furniture very old. There was an error in charging, but they solved it. The night concierge had a strange attitude
Location just what I needed I didn't mind them renovating I'll be back
awesome guys. exactly what we expected it to be. location is fantastic!
this is a good hotel for the price and is generally cheaper than any hostels or backpackers in Auckland.. had a private room with shared bathroom for 40 which is excellent in Auckland. good location but pretty noisy up until about 2 but considering the price was worth it.
Excellent location and car parking is an advantage. Rooms are perfectly adequate for a short stay. Friendly reception.
I found the place no problem, it was a very basic room, but had all I needed, the shower was pretty basic, and really needs an upgrade, wet towels on the floor, but didnt smell. The room I stayed in faced Queen street, the louvers wouldnt close and was kept awake all night with youths yelling, smashing things, swearing and girls screaming obscentities to who ever. But the other guests were quiet and I didnt hear them make any noise, so that was great.. I checked out at 7am as I thought it would be better at the airport
location good but rooms not flash
