"I found the place no problem, it was a very basic room, but had all I needed, the shower was pretty basic, and really needs an upgrade, wet towels on the floor, but didnt smell. The room I stayed in faced Queen street, the louvers wouldnt close and was kept awake all night with youths yelling, smashing things, swearing and girls screaming obscentities to who ever. But the other guests were quiet and I didnt hear them make any noise, so that was great.. I checked out at 7am as I thought it would be better at the airport " - Lois mcmillan
"location good but rooms not flash" - Anonymous
"very central position with parking.
Although a breakfast tray breakfast was included in the voucher, the hotel disputed this and did not provide." - barbara Totaram
"Standard place.
Not bad but not the best ever." - Anonymous

| Hotel description: |

Kiwi hospitality and kiwiconomy - ideal for the budget conscious traveller. All of the city's major attractions are within walking distance, including the Viaduct basin and the nightclubs, theatres and shops of the CBD. Bus routes that have a stop at the end of the driveway can take you to outer lying attractions. And a real bonus in the central city - car parking (subject to availability) is free to Hotel guests.
The early 20th century building is a versatile hotel, offering fully serviced hotel rooms, in single, double or twin configurations. The Hotel is on 3 floors, and 2 lifts access these floors. There is also a hostel wing with backpacker dorms as well as private rooms. The building is set back from the busy street, providing a haven away from the city - yet right in it. A Continental breakfast is available, as is a snack menu from the House Bar. Hostel guests can use the common room and kitchen to prepare their own meals.
Other facilities include an internet cafe, laundries and a games area. There is a travel desk in the foyer that is staffed 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. |
