"Expensive for what you get. The breakfast was very poor in quality and choice. No tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. The advertised double room was actually a twin (they don't have doubles). The website said we could check in from 8am but we couldn't until midday and the guy who covered the desk at night made us feel very unwelcome when we turned up early. And beware: they have no mosquito nets on the windows!" - Anonymous

The Ionian Konstantinoupolis Hotel was built during the British Protectorate (1814-1864). It first operated as a hotel offering room and board by a family from Konstantinoupolis who moved to Corfu to escape the Turks. Considering its advantageous position by the main port, the hotel was in a great demand among the business world of the time, as well as, the high society of Europe who chose Corfu for their holidays. From 1878 up until 1993 the hotel attracted various celebrities and artists who came to the island to perform. The Konstantinoupolis is a fully renovated hotel with great respect to the history and the architectural tradition of Corfu.
The hotel is located in the center of the Old Port with easy access to the town exits and entries eliminating the need to cross the busy commercial section.
