"Stayed for a week. Fantastic location. Within walking distance of Checkpoint Charlie, Topography of Terror, Holocaust Memorial, Reicsteig, Brandenburg Gate and many other places of interest. A few minutes walk from Stadmitte Underground Station. Huge bedrooms and bathrooms. Furniture strictly utilitarian [ it is East Berlin), but very comfortable. Staff very friendly and so helpful. "This hotel was not at all luxurious (shades of the old East Germany) but it was clean, comfortable, reasonably priced and centrally located. The staff were friendly and helpful. They all spoke some English, though they were also willing to allow me to practice my limited German! They kindly kept our heavy bags after we checked out, to allow us to go out and about unencumbered on our last day, before collecting them later, when we were ready to go to the airport. "Good three star hotel. I was in one of the suites that sleeps up to 4 which was comfortable. However the suites are located in a different building which you have to cross a car park to get to so it can seem a bit creepy at night." - Anonymous

The individual and private Hotel Kubrat, offering 47 singles, twins/doubles and suites, is located in the very city centre of Berlin. A short walking distance, some footsteps only to the most touristical sites as the former "Checkpoint Charlie", the recently completely rebuilt Potsdamer Platz, the lovely Gendarmenmarkt, the Brandenburg Gate, a variety of theatres, museums and restaurants as well as excellent public traffic connections through 2 crossing underground-lines just "in front of the door" make the Hotel Kubrat to an ideal starting point to discover the capital. |
