Kuk Je is great value in an excellent location. The Hotel is a genuine 3 star at a very reasonable price, with simple quick taxi and subway transport, plus good eating and ebtertain,ment nearby. It also has an old style Korean sauna.
location is ok but there are many other and better hotels in Busan available. However if you stay there 1-2 nights it might be ok. Haven't tried the breakfast.
There was no air conditioning and we were hot. There are very few good shopping opportunities or good restaurants in the immediate vicinity although the subway was only a few blocks away.
Located in the central of Busan and there are lots of shops and restaurants near the hotel. Kukje is neatly cleaned although it is not really new. Need to walk for a while since this hotel is not lacated near the closest station, but the station is also really convenient.
Whilst the staff were very friendly and eager to help, the hotel seemed run-down (stained carpets, mould in the grout of the bathroom tiles, etc.). As travellers we would very much appreciate facilities to make a cup of coffee/tea, without having to involve room service. However, this comment is not restricted to the Kukje Hotel alone. During our 12-night stay in South Korea, there was only one hotel, which had this facility (the Jeonju Tourist Hotel in Jeonju). The room was nice and big, the towels, drinking glasses, etc. were clean. We would have appreciated some means of regulating the temperature in the room. We found it far too hot and no means to reduce the temperature or just have the air circulating, not heating. Again, this comment is not restricted to the Kukje, no hotel we stayed in in South Korea had this facility.
Typical old style 3 star hotel. Needs some refurbishing.
