We used the hotel before as it is located right next to Kyoto Station where the bullet train stops. The room is small but acceptable for the price.
smaller room but functional. very well located. staff very kind polite and helpful and know enough english to get by. I would stay at this hotel again.
Single bed room with bath and toilet
Twin beds room with bath and toilet
Convenient location near Kyoto station. Bathroom small and firm bed but clean and free internet available. Good value for central hotel. Breakfast buffet available good selection of food not bad price for Japan. Also gave you free coupon to go up Kyoto tower. Staff friendly but hotel did not have any tourist information or maps etc in english but would still recommend.
Small room and the smallest bathroom I`ve ever seen. Not worth of price.
A nice simplistic hotel just a few minutes walk from the station. Ideal for those that just need a base of operations for their day trips or somewhere to bed down for the night.
This hotel is very near to the Kyoto Station and near to the hotel, there is a cafe provided good breakfast with reasonable price.
fantastic location, great free extras, like free internet and bikes. great staff with english speaking staff avaliable. modern foyer, nice rooms. Very close to transport (busses and trains) very close to food arcade and Isetan shopping area. top class feel. medium to larger room. smaller bathroom. groovy feel. We had a good experience travelling with 2 year old child. good for business or pleasure
Can be noisy - the night I stayed there was a group of young people who partied into the early hours and the noise could easily be heard
Rooms are very small.
we enjoyed this place. there were free bikes available for hotel guests. the bathroom was teeny tiny for my 6 ft 3inch husband whose head hit the ceiling. otherwise, it's a nice hotel to sleep and rest in. the location can't be beat!
The bathroom is a bi small but location is convenient.
Great location, across road from Kyoto Station - so easy access to tourist information bureaux, restaurants, shops, JR and local trains and buses. Very friendly, helpful and competent front desk staff and most speak English well. Room reasonable size by Japanese standards - bathroom quite small but functional. Excellent well run and personable property. Seems to cater for groups but didn't intrude upon independent travellers.
very convinient, just beside the Kyoto Station. 5 minuit walk to Kyoto Tower, hotel give free ticket to observe the whole city. this ancient town, thousand year kyoto, is not so big, hotel also have bicycle for free.
This hotel is a convenient located place when you want to explore Kyoto. However, the rooms a very small. For me it was very hard to fit in the bathroom and take a shower because it is so small, beds are too short. I don't know what other hotels in Japan are like so they may be similar.
Very good location at the end of the railway station building.
The location is very good, it is literally right next door to the station ( although make sure you take the south exit or you'll have a 10-15 minute walk around the back of the station. The staff were very polite and friendly, but they don't speak english. The bathroon IS small, but in fairness it is an average size for hotels in Japan and Europe that are within this price range. If you are 6 ft or over your head will scrape the celling. There is not alot of room for luggage, so pack light if you are planning to stay here. The carpet was dirty. But the room was cleaned every day, so maybe these were just stains. Though it was still rather disgusting to look at.
Central potition, two minutes from Kyoto station and with all bus lines in front of you. Very polite service, with smiling faces. The bathroom was small, but suitable and clean. The best choise to explore Kyoto and its territoty.
Dan-ni Tower hotel is 200 meters right from the station, ideally located for staying in Kyoto! The staff was very friendly and spoke english. The rooms were proper sized, even though the bathroom was small as usual. I would recommend this hotel to everyone, who wants a good location and comfort!
While the room was small and simple, it was clean, well maintained and quiet. The bathroom, though miniscule, was functional. This isn't a luxury hotel, but it is comfortable and inexpensive. Furthermore, you couldn't ask for a more centrally located hotel. With Kyoto Station only a few meters away, Dai-ni Tower Hotel makes a good base to explore the city from if you are just looking for a place to sleep and get breakfast. If you want a hotel with more features, there are more expensive options nearby.
A useful business-like place to stay, close to the main JR station in Kyoto. A convenient affordable base.
