"A very pleasant and well located hotel in central Kyoto" - Peter Rodgers
"We booked this hotel for one night because it had a 24 hour reception and it was reasonably priced (12,000 yen) for a twin room compared to other Western-styled hotels (we flew into Kansai Airport in the early evening and took the Haraku Limited Express, then subway, to this hotel, a journey of some 2 hours). Hotel staff very helpful – assisted us to call airline about a jacket left behind on the plane, and gave clear information on how to get around Kyoto. Room adequate sized for a night; we chose to stay at a number of ryokans for the rest of our journey in tatami-mat rooms. Buckwheat filled pillows were a nice touch, but the cigarette smoke in the corridors was bad, even though I requested for a non-smoking room, or for a non-smoking floor. The room had some smoke too, but didn’t bother me enough to get a good night’s sleep. Location great! Had two computers in the lobby with internet access but were very slow, running Windows 2000 – oops!" - Anonymous
"A good hotel in a fantastic location where you can walk to many if not most sights in Kyoto, or the subway is very closeby for those sites a little further out. Everything is within easy reach eg: restaurants, mini-supermarkets, food markets and of course general shopping. Didn't use the hotel restaurant as it wasn't necessary but it must be good as it always had lots of clients there. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for all aspects." - Pip Tyler
