"We stayed for 2 nights and loved the friendliness and lcoation of the guesthouse, however we had a ground floor room which we found quite noisy due to its closeness to the breakfast area and foyer. The owner was very helpful and made our stay very enjoyable" - Mandy Mitchelson

La Fonda Barranco is situated in a typical old merchant's house in the heart of Historic Jerez. Built on an ancient site, in the oldes part of the Islamic city, the house mostly dates from 1865. Each room is subtly different and opens on to the central marble floored and plant filled atrium. Even though mantaining all the characteristic and old features of the building, the rooms have all the modern comodities, includiying a room adapted fro disabled and WIFI internet access. With only 8 rooms and 2 studios La Fonda mantains the feel of a private home.
During 2005/2006 the building was restored rather than redecorated. 19th century carpentry and jonery lovingly brought back to life, ancient stone arches and walls revealed and the emblematic tiled and marbled floor given a new leace of life. The style of the hotel could be described as an accurate reflection of the Andalusian legacy.
From the flowered terrace, where guests can enjoy breakfast with the magnificent view of the Cathedral, to the cool and shaded patio, an air of calm, serenity and silence prevale, only broken by the music of the water flowing in the ancient marble fountain.
