La Fonda Hotel Benalmadena

1. Breakfast was a little poor with regard to selection. The Brits like bacon and eggs. Also the pastries were not fresh (sealed in plastic) 2. The guys on the front desk were very helpful and assisted us greatly.

i would advise anyone that this hotel s hard to get to and it took me ages and notbody new where it was. however it was a very nice hotel and the breakfast was great, would recomend it to other as it has a fantasic view.

This was an authentic Spanish style hotel.The staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent buffet breakfast.The hotel would be unsuitable to those with mobility problems and young children. We certainly intend returning to La Fonda.

Having stayed at this hotel before we were horrified to find that the car park was now a building site. Alternative car parking was some distance from the hotel, poorly communicated by the hotel and its staff. No advance notice of this fact was communicated by the hotel to any of the clients that we spoke to. The situation was compounded by the popularity of this town with the locals. Returning to the hotel in the evening and trying to find a car parking space wasted alot of time. This issue spoilt the second visit to this hotel that we had previously found suited our needs as a family with young children.

Hotel difficult to find unless you have a detailed map, some of the outdoor furniture on the terrace needed some attention, Restaurant clean, food excellent and reasonably priced. Pool and surround including sunbeds very clean.

Nice hotel in very nice little city. Ideal for those who want a quiet place with nice views. Ideal as starting point for trips in Andalucia!

Hidden in the backstreets of Benalmadena Pueblo, the hotel takes a little finding, but is well worth the effort - with stunning views from rooms facing the sea and the "terrazzo" restaurant. Also has apartments hidden around the same square, which are clean and well appointed. However, be prepared to carry your own luggage because a porter service is not implied or offered. The hotel also has a small, but adequate swimming pool, which is kept clean and tidy. All together a very pleasant place to stay, particularly if you require peace and quiet, with a good selection of very reasonably priced restaurants close by. Benalmadena Costa and Mijas are within easy recah by a regular bus service costing only one Euro (July 2005).

This is a great place, spacious accommodation and fantastic location far from the maddening crowds, superb bus service, book it!!!!!
