La Howarderie Hotel Lille

"Newly refurbished (and still needing a few finishing touches when I stayed - watch out for the electric sockets!). Very customer focused and great, personal service. Only spoiler was the expensive €20 (June 07) breakfast which was merely ok. Would definitely stay again when in the area." - Stephen Newton

"At the time of our visit a dining room was being built which would improve the facilities. The hotel is in a courtyard within an urban area in the outskirts of Lille. This is fine if you have a car in which case the city is easy to get to. The rooms were excellent. We had a suite with a 3rd bed for our son. The 3rd bed was in a lounge area and separated from the bedroom. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful." - Stephen Gearing

"This is a really nice hotel set in the village of Emmerin, on the outskirts of Lille. It's about 15/20mins from Lille City Centre by car. All of the Hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The rooms are huge and furnished in a very comfortable, romantic style. We found plenty of things to do in the surrounding district without going in to Lille. Pleasant walks in the countyside to large parks and the riverside. We've been travelling for the past 6 months, and this is our favourite hotel, so far. If we get the opportunity, we'll be back. Thanks for the hospitality." - Richard Miller
