What a wonderful place!! My wife and I stayed there for a night, and wish we could have stayed longer. The innkeepers Ann and Eddie were great and extremely hospitable. They made us a lovely, homecooked dinner with local ingredients, and lovely breakfast the next morning. This place is about 90 minutes from Auckland and has a gorgeous view of the river valley below. It is about an hour to the Waitomo caves and is thus very convenient to visit them. Probably a good place to stay if you want to see both Rotorua and the Waitomo caves, which were very cool and fun.
Exquisite fit-out and decoration. Hosts are lovely people, very egger to please, nothing is too much trouble. It’s a great spot if you are into golfing, lots of courses nearby.
The luxurious Lakeview Suites on the ground floor open to private balconies with spectacular Lake and rural views. Many guests claim they've enjoyed the best night's sleep ever! Wake up and take a shower in freshly filtered rain water. Each shower is equipped with fine water jets to massage every inch of your body.
Situated on the upper floor this suite enjoys unsurpassed views of the Lake and surrounding countryside. The Lodge can arrange a variety of memorabilia for guests to purchase. All profits go to the Cambridge Equine Museum.
Situated on the top floor the 95 square metre Versace Suite enjoys breathtaking views and is the epitome of opulence! It has a French Louis XV twist and tastefully blends old world charm and grace with up-to-the-minute technology. The perfect honeymoon suite!
