The lady who greeted us at reception was not friendly , however the staff at the restaurant was helpful. The self catering unit that we were appointed did not have soap, they were no cleaning utensils and the gas heater did not work. I was quite surprised to find that there was an additional NZ$50 fee for cleaning the unit. It was a disappointment as the location is beautiful but service and unit facilities needs to be improved.
This is primarily a golf resort but we (wife and I, sister and nephew) used it as a stop-over. Given that we wanted three rooms the price was good. The spacious two-story house was well equipped with own garage, washing machine, dish washer, kitchen, three toilets and en-suite spa bathroom. It was in a quiet location overlooking the lake. The clubhouse served good food. It is 10km from Pauanui itself but was a good tour centre. If you were a golfer (we're not) then it would be a great part of a golfing holiday.
Fully self-catering 2 bedroom villa with queen beds. Spacious open plan dining/lounge area with gas fire and fully equipped kitchen & laundry for added convenience. Master bedroom ensuite with spa bath. Coromandel forest from your balcony.
Fully self-catering 3 bedroom villa with queen &/ or twin beds. Spacious open plan dining/lounge area with gas fire and fully equipped kitchen & laundry for added convenience. Master bedroom ensuite with spa bath. Coromandel forest from your balcony.
Lovely relaxing place to stay. Quiet country setting but close to town/beach etc. Excellent place for those who enjoy golf - be great for bachelor/boys weekends too. Only thing that would make it better is a pool but I hear that it is on its way.
An excellent stay, especially if you like golf. The facilities were excellent. thouroughly recommend a stay at this place.
Lake Resort Pauanui can boast of executive style bedrooms and large well appointed bathrooms. Modern elegant decor thoughout and equipped with the lastest of facilities allows for a luxurious sojourn. A golfers dream but if you are not into golf the beach is just a short drive down the road. Staff are leisurely pleasant.
Excellant and Friendly service. The house we stayed in was clean and well equipped, a real home from home. The only down side was that the resort is in the middle of development so the view from our rear window was of a building site. This being said the surrounding countryside is stunning and if golf is your thing then this resort would be a small slice of heaven, you step out of the door and onto the fairways....
Good sized villa although we had an internal unit which offered no views at all in what is essentially a rural environment.
Found the resort a little far from Pauanui - about 8 minutes drive. Would be nice if the resort put in a swimming pool. The bath plug was a little too small for the bath hole - a bit irritating. But altogether it was clean and new and quite luxurious..... beautiful setting.
