Lancaster Othon Hotel Rio De Janeiro

At this hotel we were lucky enough to be upgraded from basic room to a suite on 6th floor overlooking the beach from where we had the most wonderful view. This hotel is still in the colonial style, so vintage but charming. Enjoyed staying in this room and found staff very pleasant. Breakfast was good except for long boiled coffee which improved with 2 sugars added. Wonderful sitting at the window tables overlooking the main drag. Would enjoy staying here again in beach view room!

This was our 3rd stays. Old aircondition system and little noisy. Room size very good. Kinds personals. Perfect location on beach and just 5 min.walk to Metro.

Very good value for money, but cleanliness is an issue. Cockroaches in the corridor, spiders and webs in the toilet and bedroom. The air con was broken and very old.

A great location right on the beach. Price was quite high but it was during the carnival so prices everywhere are going to be higher than usual. Rooms were decently equipped but no more than that. There is no pool at the hotel but that was not too important that close to the beach.

The hotel is in a good position and well kept considering the age of the hotel. Breakfast was excellent.

Friendly stuffs. They are very kind and helpful. Good lcocation. 10 min. walk to Metro, 2 min. to bus,

the location of the hotel is def the best thing about it. rooms are quiet big, but furniture and carpet are old and used...Bathroom is quiet big too. Cleanliness is average and so is the breakfest. Free internet is only available in the restaurant.

The staff are very helpful and the location right on Copacabana (and near restaurants, shops etc.) make this a great hotel for visitors to Rio.

Nice 3 star hotel. Large, spacious room - the upgrade to seaview overlooking Copacabana is definately worth it. This hotel is at the far end (near Copacabana Palace) of Copacabana beach and is approx 30 mins walk to Ipanema beach. Friendly staff also.

quite big room, old fasion bathroom (quite clean), aircondition very noisy. friendly people. Location fantastic. Price is rater high comperer to facility. Internet OK.

Good value hotel on the Copacabana. Spacious rooms but need a bit of redecoration.

We stayed in a deluxe room,12th floor,beach vieuw. Location could not be better. Personel is friendly and helpfull. Maintenance of this hotel is poor. Lifts have a shabby appearance, make a lot of noise and ones the door could only be forced to open. The carpets should have been changed 5 years ago.

Good location on the Copacabana beach, supportive staff. But do not expect any luxury.

The hotel is perfectly located just vis-à-vis Copacabana beach. But because of its address “Av. Atlantica” it is a little more expensive than the other hotels located “just around the corner”, having better facilities. The hotel staff was really friendly. In my opinion it is two stars hotel rather than three stars as indicated.

Very nice and large rooms, especially the "luxury" rooms with ocean view. Nice and friendly personnel.
