Langkawi Lagoon Resort

-Smaller than I expected, although not very busy so the pool & surrounds wasn't too busy. -Had expected a better & more useable beach. -Struggled to get a bottle of wine for dinner - only house wine available & then kept at a different bar so we had to wait a while until it arrived. -All staff very friendly & eager to please. -They readily organised a 6 seater car hire at the last minute.

The hotel requires maintenance, especially the wooden exteria of the floating villas, the wood requires varnishing to protect it against the sun and conserve it, it should not be replaced, we need to value our natural resources, and protect the remaining rainforrest

With a 5 star rating comes the 5 star price tag for restaurants and facilities within the hotel resourt. To us the only downside of it was the lication, there is absolutely nothing around the hotel, no restaurants no shops nothing. Wherever you need to go you need to catch a taxi. Beach is not that flash at all, you cant swimm at the low tide !? (didnt really asked why.) Everything else was as it should be in a 5 star hotel, but I dont think we'll go again mostly because of its location and inconvenience of not beeing to walk to restaurants and shops.

Very good value. Some aircraft noise due to proximity of airport and airshow.

There are mosquitoes in the dining room. The hotel should offer shuttle bus pick up services from the jetty area.

excellent hotel with fantastic views and on the beach and great staff, why would you stay anywhere else?
