Hotel Las Calas is a century Manor House of 17th century, , situated in La Lechuza Hamlet, in the heart of Gran Canaria Island. Small and cosy Hotel Las Calas occupies an old house recovered, renovated in 1999 and decorated with traditional furniture and clear African influences. It is the ideal place to rest in a calm and familiar atmosphere, enjoying protected natural spaces where species of endemic flora and birds of the own ecosystem proliferate. La Vega de San Mateo counts on different protected natural areas and places to be visited with reminiscences of ancient vegetation and old watermill. The distance to the airport is 38 km.
Las Calas provides 7 unique guest rooms. All rooms are decorated in a very original and rustically style and equipped with private bathroom / shower, hair dryer, local TV with satellite channels, safety deposit box, mini-bar / fridge and central heating. Non-smoking rooms are also available. Whilst all modern conveniences have been added during the conversion, you still feel you are in an enchanting private home here with many original features combined with a “homy & cosy” service by Magui the owner & her team and a relaxing atmosphere.

From Gran Canaria Airport, you must take the Highroad to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in about 25 minutes, you will see a sign to Tafira, you must take it. This road goes to Santa Brigida (About 20 minutes), after this village, is Vega de San Mateo. At the end of Vega de San Mateo, you will see a sign to Tejeda, you must take it.
In about 10 minutes, you will see on the left a Restaurant with the name "El Mesón de La Lechuza", with a sign on the left to La Lechuza, you have to take this way. It is a little road. In two minutes you will see a little school, on the left, you have to go along and you will see on the lef a place to play football. Here there is a little road on the left, and the main road on the right, you have to take the little road on the left, and you will see our Hotel "Las Calas", a yellow house, with gardens. |
