Latimer Hotel Christchurch

Bit noisy between rooms, fridge noisy, fan in bathroom faulty. Very nice meals in restuarant.

This is an excellent, modern, reasonably priced hotel right in the centre of christchurch. Car parking was no-fuss, with no extra charge. Staff were welcoming. Facilities would be excellent for an extended stay.

Very pleasant hotel - excellent facilities & service

A fabulously well situated hotel within easy walking distance of Cathedral Square, the tram and shopping areas. The staff were curteous and most helpful in every way and the full breakfasts and meals available at the cafe within the hotel were a most reasonable rate. Our stay was most enjoyable and we would recommend this hotel highly.

We stayed here for the location and free parking. We were very disapoointed on arrival. The room we had booked was outside in very basic motel style accommodation - not what you expect from a 4 star hotel. This room was very noisy. After the first night we complained and were moved into the internal part of the hotel, which is much more what you would expect. The hotel manager was very helpful and waived the additional fee for the room. I would advise if you are planning to stay here, pay the extra $20 for a room inside the hotel or look for something cheaper elsewhere.

Good clean facilities with great dinning room. A short walk to the Christchurch square and the arts centre.

advertised itself as having newer apartment style rooms with cooking facilities, but we didn;t even have a toaster. maybe i dodn;t book the right room? rooms good size though with comfy bed and well stocked mini bar.would stay again

I did find this hotel expensive

The only heating in the room was an oil heater and hot water bottle for the bed (no heating in the bathroom which was very cold each morning). Conference facilities and food were great.

A motel rather than a hotel. Good rooms not quiet in the middle of town.

Hotel excellent, staff in dining room extremely helpfull and friendly. Would recommend to stay there again.

We really wished our room had air con or at least a fan as our room was very warm and as soon as you opened the windows it was very noisy and you were bitten by mosquito.
