Nice friendly and fairly cheap hotel in an interesting part of Paris
I think this hotel is very good for this price.
The room is clean, the hotel staff are very nice, the location is excellent and very close to the metro, but the only thing is that the hotel has only 2 bathrooms on third floor, you have to share with the rest of the guests, and there is no lift or elevator.
This is a great place to stay if your are in Paris for a couple of days, the noise and the bustle outside give you a small taste of the real Paris. It's virtually on the doorstep of the Sacre Coeur, there are great coffee shops/Bistros/take aways/bars/nightclubs all around it and 100m away from the neareast metro
This Hotel is perfectly placed a few minutes away from both Gare du Nord and Gare de L'Est. Metro Stations litter the area as do various Bus Routes, one direct to The Eiffel Tower/Champs Elysees. Sadly, no lift to get me to my 4th floor room, but what do you want for the price you pay? A good basic room with the central heating turned up for the snowy season. Would love to have had more than 5 channels on TV, but again would make the price go up. With the Sacre Coeur looming in the background, you can always go out and look at the panorama of Paris from the top. Would be going again in Feb 2011
The hotel is very close to the metro station. It is very convenient to travel around in the city.
in case you assume it's free - you have to pay for using the hotel's computer for internet. great location if you are spending 2 or 3 days in this part of Paris - near the Moulin Rouge, Sacre-Coeur and Dali museum/ gallery. there's Mcdonalds, Carrefour, PriceLeader and Tati ... very friendly and helpful staff who speaks english good enough for communication.
I don't think it's there fault but when we got there they had no double room for us, only single rooms were available so the owner came along and took us to his friend's hotel, which turned out to be more conveniently located including breakfast and a lift in the hotel! Anyway the staff at the Le Bervic seemed friendly. Not sure about other things as we didn't stay there!
A very small, totally spartan room, with drainpipes (that often sounded like waterfalls) coming down in corners and flaking paint. One bed, one 50 by 50 cms "desk", one wood and metal chair, one tv, one bedside table, a sink, and a cupboard with doors that remain open. Stairs are winding and difficult to navigate with luggage. The toilet down the corridor is just that. A toilet. No shower anywhere. But the hotel is within walking distance of the Gare Du Nord (though through some dirty streets and uncomfortable crowds), has helpful staff, and free wifi, though that died on the last night I was there. The location and the wifi make it all OK for the price.
A very nice budget hotel. excellent location right in front of metro. rooms are reasonably sized. the only negative i found in the hotel was that rooms are not sound proof and a lot of noise comes inside the room. just around the hotel there are some really good discount stores for some budget shopping. for muslims there are some halal restaurants very close to the hotel.
I stayed there for 2 nights. It looks quite old, our room was on the 5th floor, there wasnt any lift, so we had to carry our heavy luggage up the spiral stairs. However it is appropriate for travellers, who are in paris for sightseeing, and need a place to sleep only at night. It is very close to shops. The area has some muslims there, and i am a muslim, so it is quite easy to find halal food. Very close to metro station, about 2 minutes max of walking. :')
the only good thing about the hotel is location. really close to metro station. however the hotel itself disappoints me - fire alarm rang at 2am and really noisy becos of the traffic. looks very untidy and dirty.
The location is excellent--literally a hundred feet or so from the Metro entrance. This is quite handy as a) it makes exploring Paris very easy, and b) takes a little of the worry about walking through strange neighborhoods at night (the hotel is in a working-class neighborhood, which is a little dodgy in parts). Our room was clean when we arrived and thoroughly cleaned daily. The towels we initially had were clean but smelled funny, but the cleaning lady immediately swapped them for newer, fresher ones. Our room on the 2nd floor was small, but we were out and about a lot anyhow. The hotel is showing its age, but the manager and owner were very courteous and helpful towards all our inquiries.
This hotel offers good value for money, and the price is low compared to most other Paris hotels. Its location, near a subway junction, is convenient for central Paris. I felt that staff members genuinely tried to make my stay better. Renovations are under way. Currently, the elevator is not working. The rooms are clean.
rooms are very untidy and fire alarm system went wrong at 2pm! close to the main street and really noisy at night. only one thing which is good is the location - 2 mins walk to the metro station.
The hotel is located very close to Gare du Noord, so it is quite pratical, it's possible to walk from the train station or take the metro (1 stop). It's located in an area full of arab and african emigration, so it's different perspective from Paris, but had no troubles at all of insecurity there. The rooms are basic, and the bathroom was clean. The personal was quite friendly and all spoke english. The only minus is the fact the reception is closed from 1am to 6.30/7am, so if someone intends to go out in paris, it must do a long night. For the price paid, this hotel is worth the money
Hotel is in the process of renovation. Could be quite nice once thois is finished. People were friendly and helpful. Accommodation very basic.
Excellent location near bottom of Montmartre. Friendly management. Small but comfortable rooms, good for the price. Beds good. Clean enough. Wireless only works on ground floor, but its comfortable to sit down there. I recommend the place.
Super friendly staff. Last-minute booking. Free wi-fi. Not a bad deal!
the room was ok, and fairly central location although local area was not too nice. Breakfast was pathetic and cost €5! Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall I think it was slightly overpriced
