Le General Hotel Paris

loved it - staff a bit rude and snobby but this was good value when we stayed - a while ago - hope it is still as good value. white sheets/beds, clean rooms, basic facilities and stylish modern decoration, nice but basic breakfast, convenient, yet off the beaten path location, near a good range of restaurants.

Great breakfast. Best one I've had in a Paris 3* hotel. Very close to Place de Republique yet on a very quiet side street. 3 stops on the Metro from Gare du Nord. Have stayed twice. Some rooms are rather small with the bed up against the wall. Others are quite nice with 2 sets of French doors opening onto the street. More than ample bathroom. Definitely recommend it.

We stayed in a superior Double room. The room was still small with a great bathroom. All the Walls were dirty with black stripes (I think from some luggage). There is allwys some fancy smell in the rooms, first this is interesting after three days you didn't like it. All the style shown on the website seems to be pictures from their one big room. The stuff missed to replace shampoo and but too much water in the little plant on our desk.

Overall this hotel is a very good choice and value. Some of the services are lacking, the maid service wasn't the best. The WIFI connection was often down. The welcome champagne didn't happen. Yet the breakfast was very good. And some of the staff did make an effort. As nothing is "perfect" I would stay again.

The hotel is brilliantly located and although we got a small room this time (just a 1 night stay) you could always ask for a bigger room. The breakfast is great. It´s a wonderful place to stay in Paris and we always hate leaving.

Very well-designed hotel that offered comfortable, if small, facilities and warm, friendly service. We would definitely stay there again!

The room is clean and stylish. The bar is cool.

While the room was pokey the Le General certainly proved a decent base to explore Paris and the service there was friendly. I cant remember anything particularily great about the hotel but at the same time there was absolutlely nothing to prevent me recommending it to others.

Modern, trendy, well located small boutique hotel. Excellent.

The bar and lounge areas are fabulous with very trendy decor, beautiful fresh flowers and great music playing in the bar. The barman has the biggest smile around and cannot do enough to help. Our room was ok but a bit on the small side.

3 star hotel with 5 star service. The place looks a class above anything other in the republique district at the same price. Hotel is on 2 years old which helps. Not close to city centre but metro is very close. Would come back.

From the moment I walked into LE GENERAL I knew I'd made the right choice. It was simply an incredible hotel all around. The lobby is extremely modern. Everything was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly, attentive, and courteous. I had a superior room which is a bit larger than the standard rooms. The hotel is located in REPUBLIQUE and filled with resturants, shopping, and nightlife. It's also between two metro stops making it an easy commute to anywhere in Paris by train. I give this hotel both thumbs up, I recommend it highly, and I'd DEFINITELY stay here again on my next trip to Paris!

A truely lovely hotel, in a great location. Service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Very stylish decor and quite reasonably priced. Would go back tomorrow if I could. Highy recommended
