Le Massena Residence is a basically an apartment building and what you get there is an apartment with living room, kitchen and bedroom(s). I stayed there with a mate in a very spacious one bedroom apartment. Furniture and fittings were quite basic and several power points did not work but we felt comfortable in there. The apartment is about 15min downhill walk to the main street and the beach. In its proximity is laundry-mat and several cafes where you can have breakfast. I am not sure if laundry facilities exist in the building but we could not find them and reception was closed over the weekend so we could not ask anyone. I would say that this is decent accommodation for families and budget travelers.
Large, comfortable apartment. Basic facilities but has what you need. Bit of a walk to front beach but excellent value for the price.
Just a little far from the center, but it is a very very comfortable place to stay and have a holiday. Also it is very cheap with a big room and every facilities.
Not eactly a stone's thrown from the sea as presented (it 's about 2 km) but a good place for a couple of days.
Best bang for the buck. Large studios with everything you need. Helpful staff. Cannes is hard to get around so be sure to have a good map to find the place. Enjoyed our stay here.
I stayed here recently for 2 nights. The self-catering style rooms are ideal for families. It is a 25 minute walk away (& slightly uphill) from the beach, shops & main tourist area. The bus service to take you there is very good (buses every 10 minutes) & the bus stop is less than a minute from Le Massena.
I stayed during the Mipcom market in October 2004. The hotel is a good 15/20 minute walk to the Palais but the price was very reasonable compared to other places I have stayed in Cannes. The studio room was very spacious (a luxury in Cannes) and could have slept a family of 4. Celine, the hotel manager, speaks English and was very helpful. I will stay there next time I am in Cannes if I can get such a great rate again.
