We stayed 3 nights in this hotel. Pros: The location is good, in the Jakarta business area. If you want to explore the main sights of the city, this is a good point to go from. The room is large, free high-speed internet is available. Cons: breakfast is very expensive (USD15), especially taking account of the generally very cheap restaurant pricing in Jakarta. No airport shuttle.
The 34 Sq.meters guestrooms are equipped with superior in-room facilities including electronic safe, satellite TV and an extensively stocked minibar. Bathrooms are fitted with a powerful 600/1200-watt hairdryer, bathroom scales, separate shower cabinet, bathrobe and top-line amenities.

As I stayed only a night in the hotel, I dined only at its coffee shop. Cannot remember the exact, but with some sort of a French name. Anyway, the buffet spread was not too impressive for a 5-star hotel. For a start, the choice of 'hot' food was limited. The worst was its desserts. The fruit selections was one of the worst I've ever seen in a 5-star hotel. There were more dried fruits than fresh. After standing in front of the desserts section for about 7 minutes, I decided to order a cup of coffee. Le Meridien still has a long way to go in this area. Perhaps, they can get some tips from the [other hotel name], which is another 5-star hotel in Jakarta.
I was very pleased with the service and how helpful & friendly the personnel were. Breakfast, restaurant & business center were all excellent. The only minus I have: safe of the hotel room (double) could have been a bit larger; now there was not enough place for a laptop computer.
Very nice Hotel in a good location. The charge of USD$10.00 for 24 hr internet usage is very reasonable by other hotel standards in Jakarta. Will highly recommend to anyone either fopr leisure or business.
a hotel that is tired and needs up dating! couldn't get much hot water and no matter what temperature you would set the room temperature it was always freezing! Give it a miss....
Best thing about the Meridian in the staff, every one is super friendly and helpful. The hotel is nice, some of the rooms are a bit dated, facilities are good. Security is consistent and to a high level. Reason I come back each time is for the excellent staff, level of service is excellent.
The hotel room needs to be refurbished. There were no laundry facilities in the room.

A pleasant hotel to stay at however the location whilest fine for the immediate business district is totally isolated from any shopping or entertainment areas. Everything is a taxi ride away.
Nice place nice price nice location and good food , biggest drawback is the air conditioning , its going from bad to worse . I guess the main tower has a problem overall . My last vist i had to change the room and this visit i insisted to be shifted to the other tower which was fine , those of you who go just keep this in mind.

I was really disappointed from the facilities in the hotel. Also the level of service. The mini bar was empty at the check in, and I asked them to fill it more than one time. They only fill it on the last day of my stay!. I was expecting better service with Le Meridien!!
Only problem is house keeping. Slow in cleaning the room. Need improvement.
