Le Meridien Hotel Nice

great location, exelent roof restaurant & cafe, prefer room with see view. cooperative stuff. expensive

We booked and requested a king bed. Our first room was two single beds. When we asked to change they had no rooms available the first night. When our room was changed it still had two single beds but were made up for a double. The hallway to our room on level 4 had a terrible smell that made you sick everytime you walked past. To use the pool or the beach there was an extra charge and the gym was very average.

Walls of awful violet colour. There is no Internet in a package "all inclusive". But what view from windows!

The hotel was disappointing from a traditional "expensive" hotel perpsective in that there is no concierge and the entrance is up a flight of escalators. Rooms are very small for a deluxe room and they state that there is internet avaialable on the TV but once you buy a package for TV and internet they advise that the internet no longer works; not acceptable behaviour when you pay this type of cash!

The rooftop restaurant is the best in Nice for lunch. Gym was not good - cheap non-functioning equipment Buffet Breakfast disappointing - but Nice in general can be a bit behind with its food - still back in the 1970's.

Hotel needs to be refurbished. Rooms are already old and therefore price seems not to be apropriate. Location is very good. Breakfast does not provide enough choice of food...no fresh vegetables.

The outdoor heated swimming pool, the main reason for choosing the hotel, was lovely. The location of the hotel is great for the beach and exploring the old town and markets.

The rooms need to be refurbished! The badroom didn't look good at all. (painting came of the wall, the water stayed in the badtub during a shower). The interior of the room looked very old as well.

Overall we were very satisfied.

Fantastic hotel, great location and the staff were excellent. The local flower festival was on when we were there and the hotel overlooked the parade - an added bonus. We would recommend it highly

The location of this hotel is its best asset - within short walking distance of downtown, old town and harbour area. Food was good but expensive. Rooms overlooking sea or gardens have great views. Would return to this hotel.
