A+++++++ Our week at Le Meridien was fantastic. The service was absolutely OUTSTANDING. We spent a fair amount of time relaxing on the beach and by the pool. The staff could not have been more pleasant and accomodating. (As owners of a restaurant ourselves, we appreciate these things). My wife got a massage and raved about it. Breakfast daily at the hotel was wonderful. WIFI service is an extra charge and our connection was not the best, but we really didn't need it to be. Yes, there is construction and renovations going on at the hotel and at the adjacent property, but, if you let that ruin your vacation, it's your own fault. More than likely, we'll return next year.
The hotel was beautiful. The beach and the pool were definitely up to par. The staff was friendly and ready to jump at the chance to help you. However, the breakfast in the mornings was EXPENSIVE and not included. Also, they didn't really have a bar other than the bar by the pool and it closed around 9ish, from what I encountered. It's a bit off the beaten path, so you had to walk just a bit to get to the main strip where all the restaurants were. The food at the cabana down by the pool was excellent. I just wished they had a bit more to do 'after hours' since they were so far from the nightlife of Cancun.
Unfortunately, we weren't so lucky with the miserable weather a situation that was way above us. The first three days we were accomodated in a room in which the AC wasn't working. The room was all the time damp, with water leaking on the walls includin on the bed sheets, our clothes and the electronic devices. After several discussions with the staff, we were offered an upgrade in a junior suite even though we didn't use the living room. Thanks to the involvement of the front-desk manager we were able to turn the last part of our holiday in a nice experience.
My experience at Le Meridien Cancun...I will give them 4 stars. The reason why I chose to stay in Le Meridien Cancun was I stayed at Le Meridian Tahiti about a year ago and thought it was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. I was expecting a similar experience in Cancun. This hotel did meet many of my expectations. The things I wanted to avoid was to stay in a hotel where lots of little kids jumping around or bunch of college kids getting drunk and partying loud. Just as my expectation, it was very quiet and more adult atmosphere. I like how the floors and walls are covered with marble tiles, which helps to keep room temperature cool and look elegant. I also liked the beach area; it is located in the middle of hotel zone, and there is a breath taking blue water in front of the hotel. It was definitely a pleasant experience. Staffs were great. They are extremely helpful and hospitable. Many of them knew and remembered my name. I will give them 5 stars to their staff and its great service. They made me feel that I want to come back. I also liked the food. It was reasonably priced and delicious. They gave us some extra appetizers, which weren't on the menu. Red snapper, stake, duck, chicken, nachos, burgers, etc...All of them were great, and I also liked their bread with crushed olives in it. Thus, my experience was mostly positive, but there are a few things I saw. First, there is a construction going on at the building next to Le Meridien. It didn't bother me much, but I felt a little awkward when I was swimming in the pool because I could see construction workers working high up, and they could see me swimming. Also, there is a little ongoing renovation happening in Le Meridien, and we could not enter to the pool/beach area from the front lobby, but we had to go all the way around to get to the pool/beach area. Here are some of other little things I thought they could make improvements: - Water in the flower base at the front lobby was murky. - There were screws sticking out in the room, which I assume there used be a picture on the wall. - Shower door was squeaky. - The shower head was rusty and splashing water in all directions. - The aluminum lattice window frames at the restaurant weren't kept clean and saw white crusts (salt?) on them. - Temperature of the Jacuzzi was cold. If all the constructions are done, and they can pay attention to a little details like I mentioned above, I can give them 5 stars. But, my overall experience was positive and would love to come back. I want to give thanks to the staff who provided us great hospitality!
This is the third visit to Cancun for my wife and I, and first all-inclusive experience together. This hotel is amazing in every way - decor, spa, location - especially the food and service. Orbitz beat the competitors prices by FAR! You must choose the all-inclusive plan - WELL worth the extra dollars for the gourmet meals, room service, pool and beachside service too. I want to go back right now!
Over all everything is a great experience, beach is beautiful. The only down side is the construction noise going on with hotel next door, can't enjoy the pool as much as I would like to.
My family and I had a great stay in Le Meriden Cancun resort, it is a small and quiet hotel compared with others Cancun Hotels.
Le Meridian was a very nice hotel but not a 5 star, I would say more like a 4 star. It was great to stay in a hotel that did not have timeshare people hounding you all the time-there were none in this hotel! The room was great and balcony exactly as advertised but the food and service were inconsistent. Some of the dishes were outstanding but others were just ok or even below average, ie. the cheeseburger was a frozen pattie not freshly made as you would expect in a hotel of this caliber. The breakfast buffet was very good. The service was great, mostly around the pool and room service but in the fancy restaurant it was ok and at the breakfast buffet it was poor. The pools and beach were both fabulous! We actually liked that the building next door shaded the upper 2 pools in the afternoon because the sun is so hot. This is a quiet relaxing place so if your looking for the party scene this hotel is not for you. We were on the all inclusive plan which was well worth it but they told us that they are doing away with it which is a shame because it would be too costly to stay there if you had to pay out of pocket for all your food and drinks. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend this hotel! Just be prepared for a 4 star experience not a 5 star experience.
This hotel was amazing. Great service and great price! Very convenient location because you can just take a bus for a few minutes and you will be at the heart of cancun! Definitely would come back here and recommend this place to anyone!
I found the stay there very good, service was good and location was good as well,Would recommend staying there anytime.
