The Le Peranakan Hotel is located at 400 East Coast Road, in the heart of the bustling Katong district, where it is lined with two blocks of restored pre-war shops and restaurant which is indolent with the Peranakan experience. All furnishings are reminiscent of the Baba-Nyonya era of opulence, featuring ornately hand-carved wood in furniture and walls, porcelain table ware, mother-of-pearl adornments and more.

Clean and nice. Comfy bed, tv, hair dryer. Lowest priced rooms are without windows. No shampoo. Bad sound proof.
The only problem i had with the hotel is the smell. Not that is stinky or filt, it just have this sort of smell that's not aromatic and comforting to live in. If you don't mind with taking buses, then this hotel would meet your traveling needs as there is no MRT close to it and that closes station is 6 stops away. Suit for a quiet , out of the hassle and bussle of the city.
Quaint Chinese style hotel. Tiny rooms but that's pretty common in Singapore for this price range. Actually has separate shower stall from the toilet which almost no hotels in this price range have and the shower has great pressure and seemingly unlimited hot water which is rare for even more expensive places. Bonus points for the great shower. Bed was clean & comfy although the pillows were undersized. Downsides: there is a karaoke bar either in the hotel or adjacent building which you can clearly hear in your room. I think it shut down at 1a and since I don't sleep before then it wasn't a problem but if you're an early sleeper this may be a deal breaker. There is no fridge in the room so no way to keep cold drinks. The wireless internet is unusable. The staff will provide you tangled cables to plug in directly but most are broken so you'll need to find one with a working plug. Once I got a good cable (bring your own?) the internet was reliable and free.
Bathroom is small. Electricity trips when use of hairdryer. For that same price, I could get a better deal near town.
The shower was very badly placed. You have to squeeze into a small section in the wall in order to close the shower door!
The room was very small however clean with modern fittings. The downside was no bar fridge and rhe room was not services regularly. The location was really good for me as I needed to stay in the Katong area. Regular buses to the city though it takes about 30 minutes.
No parking facilities and slightly overpriced for the room and facilities offered in this hotel.
