Le Petit Hotel Rome Guest Reviews

3.4 out of 5

My husband tried sleeping on the floor to see if it was softer than the bed. The shower cubicle could be dangerous if you are large, it is only about 2 feet wide, with a very small opening to get in and out of. The complimentary breakfast consists of two slices of very old bread (think the hotel gets this free from somewhere), a dry pastry and some condiments which are rationed out on the table for each guest. If you are looking for a comfortable hotel, Hotel Petit is probably one to avoid.

small room but clean and reasonably quiet for central Rome, only a 10 minute walk from the train station we would stay there again.

Le Petit is small and inconspicuous. However, it has all you will need from a high quality hotel in a city centre location. Its location is its main strength. It is very close to the railway, tube and bus station at Termini. From there you can get easily get to anywhere, including Rome's two airports. Most of the main tourist attractions are within easy walking distance. The Roman Forum, Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps are all nearby. The Vatican and Castel D'Angelo is a little further but is still an easy walk or short bus ride. The hotel staff could not be more helpful. They arranged tickets for the Roma Vs Lazio derby game when we where there. They cannot do enough to help.

Central location around the corner from Repubblica Metro station. Easy to find even for 1st timer in Rome. Room and bathroom are compact but clean. No problems to sleep at night - it was quiet!! Staff are very pleasant and helpful with directions and recommendations to restaurants. Breakfast is fairly typical - with the best part being the coffee and pastry. Felt very secure in this building need to p/u key and drop off key at the front desk on way in and out of the building. Will consider staying here again and will recommend to anyone who does not mind the compactness.

A beautifully presented hotel. Helpful staff who spoke english. Breakfast good & a bar firdge in the room was good as it was very hot and we kept our drinks in it. A lift, which is great for baggage. A 7 minute walk from Termini Station and around the corner from a metro stop. Rooms were a bit small but that is what you get in Italy. Great location and enjoyed the stay. Dawn

Excellent location - bus and metro stations very close - local restaurants good - as with all european hotels the breakfast menu is basic - I wonder why clients are served chocolate chip crossants for breakfast? - friendly helpfull staff.

I found that the Petit Hotel was ideal for the purposes that I required. The location was good for most sightseeing places and the service provided by the staff was very good. Overall the Petit Hotel was an ideal base for a stay in Rome and if I were to return I would not hesetate to stay there again.

If you are looking for a small friendly hotel close to the metro and sites the Le Petit is a good option. The hotel is on the fourth floor of a lovely building.. Room was small but perfectly clean. Breakfast was great comprising of the usual cold meats, cheeses or cereals and pasteries. Staff are helpfull if you need anything like a taxi to the airport. I would return there again and will recommend it to my friends. Close to shops, restaurants and even an Irish bar. In terms of security the hotel has electronically controlled ( by reception on second floor) OUTER DOOR, a locked inner door on the fourth floor plus a sturdy room door. We felt safe leaving valuables in the room but beware of pickpockets on any busy metro journeys. We almost had 4 hundred euros stolen by a nimble fingered pregnant girl and her team. Otherwise Rome is perfectly safe and a must do trip.

Very good location, just around the corner of via nazionale and 7 minutes walk to the termini. No need for a taxi, subway or bus on arrival or departure. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast just fine to start a day. Double room is extremly small - good enough for one person + small luggage. New and modern furniture and bathroom. Shower cabin very narrow. Next door bar serves an excellent coffee, limoncello and grappa. As for the tourism -most of the day out - overall good impressions. Recommended.

Above all, this hotel was amazing! The location is gold for those who like to be close to everything in a big city but away from the hecticness. You are about a 7 minute walk from the Colosseum and the Vittorio Emmanuelle, it is majorly connected to all bus lines and metro stops. The hotel is clean and very very safe, you need keys to get in to everywhere. Breakfast is your basic continental. Would recommend to all!

The Hotel is very modern and although the rooms may not be the biggest are quite adequet considering they are only used for sleep. The standard of the room more than made up for this. The staff here are very cheerful and helpful. We were given a map on arrival and given bus numbers etc for attractions around Rome. It is ideally situated within walking distance (max 30 mins) from the main attractions Vatican, Colleseum etc. The restaurant down via Nationazle on right hand side with outdoor seating, forgotten name, is very good food and value. Also Mr Chow Chinese restaurant is good. For more good restuarants visit the Spanish Steps at night there is a good selection around here. We would also recommend going to the Botanical Gardens as these are very nice and ideal to get some peace away from the hustle and bustle of the busy Rome roads and streets. All in all I would definately stay at this hotel if I visit Rome in the future. Great Location, Great Staff, Great Hotel.

Overall this hotel was great value for money. If you like to shop, it's in a great location. 1 minute away from the subway or you could walk to all the famous sites, it would take approx. 20-30 mins. Staff was extremely friendly and very helpull.

Arrived at the hotel and the welcome we received was brilliant. The gentleman on the receipt was very pleasant and very helpful indeed. Assisted us with maps and did our reservation for us to do a bus tour around Rome. The room was alittle small but very neat and tidy. The breakfast was great and excellent coffee. Well worth a stay at the Le Petit if ever in Rome.
