Lees Hotel Seoul

This hotel was cheapest in my Seoul experiences. However, amenity was ready. I recommend people should stay in this hotel. There is a cute Japanese woman's receptionist who speaks Korean language. However, you cannot eat at the restaurant and can use the wi-fi at only ground floor. It is regrettable that smoking is possible at corridors.

Good location. 5 minute walk to subway station Jongno-5 ga Exit 13 or 14. Please see earlier post on directions. Arrived late at night, took Airport bus 6002 to Jongno-4 ga. Cross the road and take the first left. The police station is on the right. Take the small lane and hotel is behind the Police station. Many restaurants nearby. Seoul's metro is fast, cheap and efficient. Enjoyed the trip to Seoul.

The room is clean and comfortable. Given the price and room quality, it is a good deal.

The hotel staff were helpful though they do not speak much english. The location is very good(very near to Dongdaemon & Insa-dong shopping area and sightseeing locations(the Palaces, Jongmyo Shrine and the Jogyesha Temple) and airport limusine stops. I will stay there if I revisit Seoul.

Location is quite near to Myeondong and Han's River. 5minutes walking distance from subway. Good place to stay.

This is a very good deal for the price. Airport drop-off was close by. Buslines and subway are also close by. Some major sight-seeing locations are within walking distance. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor market a few hundred yards away. Underground shopping and outdoor art market are very close by.

Good hotel but difficult to find the location at the first time but overall is a great. Recommend...

I was very pleased to find Lees Hotel Seoul very clean and nice. I really enjoyed the floor heating system. It is at a good location.The only surprise I had was that the front desk staff do not speak English, or very little. I could not ask for a local map or directions to anywhere. Fortunately I have a local friend, who helped me out on everything.

Lees Hotel Seoul is located near shopping areas like Dongdaemun etc. Nearest subway is Jongno 5(o)-ga. Exit in direction of Post Office. Turn left on ground level and walk straight till you come across a family mart. (Opposite the road is the famous KwangJang Market. Try going there for a meal. You find yourself rubbing shoulder with ordinary Koreans. The market is an unforgettable sight!) Make a right turn into a lane, walk past shops, eateries etc.; the hotel is ahead. Not easy to locate first time. If you miss a turn, you may be lost in the maze of lanes! The hotel issued us a free subway ticket containg 7000 won (about USD6.5) which is a perfect gift! The hotel staff are patient and can speak fairly okay English. The room is a bit cramped but everything else works perfectly. Seoul is an expensive place to live in so this hotel is value for money. If you love walking on the streets and really see Seoul and especially its people for who they are, this hotel brings you closer!

I very much enjoyed my stay. It was close to the station which was important to me and I liked the fact that there was a remote in the room which included lights, tv and air con which meant you didn't have to get up to turn them on or off. As well as the restaurant in the hotel there are a lot of other restaurants around.

Clean, cheap, comfortable. Surrounded by shops, cheap restaurants, parks, palaces and churches.

Expensive for what you get, but that's Seoul for you. Hotel is in a very useful spot, just 5 mins walk from the airport bus drop off. You get FREE broadband internet here too. Friendly Staff who speak good English.

Excellent value for the money. Little bit hard to find but definitely worth it! Rooms are bit small bit includes everything You might need.Helpful and friendly staff!

It's not easy to locate the hotel as the hotel's location is not shown on all maps of Seoul I found. The hotel is not known to taxi drivers. I'd downloaded the location map from the hotel's website. Unfortunately it's all in Korean. Actually the hotel's location is in a rather convenient loacation and you can easily get around Seoul by the subway at Jongno 5ga Station which is within walking distance and the nearest to the hotel. The hotel rooms are very clean(just renovated).

Location excellant for shopping in Dongdamon, its exactly next to the dongdamon police station where I feel safe walking around anytime, subway station is close by to go to other parts of seoul, the hotel staff service is great, its an excellent budget hotel for travellers who go around places on their own and just need a place for good bath and sleep. The only problem is the hotel is not well known and the airport reception/transport I encountered never heard of the hotel.
