The staff were great which is just as well because the hotel is very average and overpriced. The twin room i booked had no windows and was tiny. I was not prepared to stay in the room it was so claustrophobic, i therefore spent three days moving from room to room. If the room description had stated no windows i would have known not to book it. I was also angry to find that even though it was an Australian hotel the price was in USD with no indication that this was the case. When booking an Australian hotel i expect it to be in AUD unless otherwise specified. All in all not a good experience. I wil lnot use Orbitz again nor will i stay in this hotel.
The room was nice and clean, the young gentleman at the reception was fantastic, however you could not fit the electric jug under the tap if you wanted to make yourself a cup of coffee.
tThe hotel is in a good spot and the staff were Ok too. The room was clean and in good order. The airconditioning control was designed by an incompetent imbecile. The reason our room, which had the afternoon sun on it, was hot, was explained carefully to us by the young woman from Reception: The thermocouple that measures the temperature and determines the unit's output is in the hall. The hall gets hot 3 to 4 hours after our room. So in the menatime we cook. Then in the middle of the night, when our room is cold, the hall is still hot and the room is being refrigated. I'm sure this is a lot cheaper than having individual controls that would actually work, like other hotels.
This hotel has everything you need for an overnight in Sydney. Close to buses, about 8 mins walk from Central Station, eateries and shops are all near by. The rooms have everything you need - toiletries, air-con, lots of TV channels. There is no restaurant or breakfast service however. If you need to be in Sydney overnight for a show or for work this is a good budget place to stay.
Very good position near to Central Station, about a 5 min walk. Our room looked onto brick wall so no view and dark in room, didn't know if it was day or night. No reception after 9pm, had to use swipe card on poorly lit door which some people could not find and not good for security as it was dark in road outside. Plus side, room was large and very clean and had tea and coffee making facilities. Friendly, helpful staff on reception. Good little coffee bar nearby for breakfast. OK for one or two nights stay.
Basic, no frills, clean accommodation handy for Central station and Chinatown.
Enjoyable, good management.
Great location if you rely on train system. Friendly and cooperative staff. The aircondition condenser is noisy on each floor, so rooms closer to it will be noisy, I complained to reception and was reloacted to a quieter room. The staff were very obliging.
This hotel is very well located if you need to go to the Central railway station. It is easy enough to walk even with a suitcase from the station to the hotel. The hotel is very quiet, my room had no external window so there was no street noise at all. I thought it was a good deal.
Good room only complaint is the airconditioning unit in the hallway is very noisey and would keep a light sleeper awake!!
Good and surprisingly quiet location, front desk staff is very helpful.
In the past have stayed at the Mecure next door but this was a better deal at a third the rate. Clean and spacious rooms. Good size bathroom though the vanity cupboard set-up is not really suitable for a hotel. The luggage storage charge is stupid and unnecessary.
The room was very small and the air conditioning was quite loud and did not ever turn off. The shower head was not the appropriate one for the available water pressure and hence was a little annoying. Good service was experienced and the staff very friendly. Overall I think the price was a little high for the available facilities and the type of room, however the location was convenient.
A pleasant well appointed room. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Easily accessible to transport and eateries. Good value for price. I would stay there again.
good value accommodation. Disappointed that they wanted $2 for each piece of luggage left in storage while I hung around the city waiting for my flight home.
I stayed in a Superior Queen room. Quite adequate for a short stay. Close to Central Station and a 5 minute walk to Chinatown. Check in staff very efficient and friendly. I will definitely stay here again.
Staff were polite and helpful. Slight mix-up on our arrival that was quickly sorted. Our room was mostly clean, quiet and tidy as were all communal areas. Atrium rooms only contain a very tiny window, would try a room with a view.
The lack of daylight in my room came as a surprise.
Close to Central Station and Railway Square. Room quite large but the hallways are narrow. I would stay again as it is so central.
Room was neat and tidy. Good sound proofing of the room. Close to Central. Windows can not be opened. No reception after 9pm - though good entry security. Very helpful front desk.
